Introduction

• Himachal Pradesh Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chatravriti Yojana is the scholarship scheme of Himachal Pradesh Government.
• The main aim behind launching this scheme is to provide financial support to meritorious students to pursue higher education.
• Himachal Pradesh Government's Directorate of Higher Education is the nodal department of this scheme.
• This scheme is also called "Himachal Pradesh Dr. Ambedkar Meritorious Scholarship Scheme" or "Himachal Pradesh Dr. Ambedkar Meritorious Student Scholarship Scheme".
• Scholarship will be provided to those meritorious students who passed Class 10th from Himachal Pradesh Board of Education.
• Financial Assistance of Rs. 18,000/- per Year will be provided to all eligible students under Himachal Pradesh Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chatravriti Yojana
• Scholarship will be provided to students only for 2 Years after passing Class 10th.
• Only Schedule Caste and Other Backward Class Students are eligible to to apply for scholarship under Himachal Pradesh Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chatravriti Yojana.
• Top 1250 Students from Schedule Caste and Top 1000 Students from Other Backward Class Category will be selected by the department for scholarship.
• This also means that the allocated seats under Himachal Pradesh Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chatravriti Yojana are :-
  • 1250 :- For Schedule Caste.
  • 1000 :- For Other Backward Class.
• Renewal of Scholarship of Student from Class 11th for Class 12th will be subject to the satisfactory performance of Student.
• Student pursuing technical course after passing Class 10th such as Diploma are also eligible to apply for scholarship under Himachal Pradesh Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chatravriti Yojana.
• Scholarship provided under Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chatravriti Yojana will not be extended after passing class 12th under any circumstances.
• Eligible Students can apply for scholarship by filling an Online Application Form of Himachal Pradesh Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chatravriti Yojana available at National Scholarship Portal.

• The below mentioned financial assistance will be provided to eligible students under Himachal Pradesh Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chatravriti Yojana :-

  • Category	Amount of Scholarship
    Schedule Caste	Rs. 18,000/- per Year
    Other Backward Class	Rs. 18,000/- per Year.

Eligibility

• Student should be a Permanent Resident of Himachal Pradesh.
• Students should have passed Class 10th Examination from Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education.
• Students should belong to any of the following category :-
  • Schedule Caste.
  • Other Backward Class.

How To Apply

• Eligible Students can apply for financial assistance in the form of scholarship by filling an Online Application Form of Himachal Pradesh Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chatravriti Yojana.
• Himachal Pradesh Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chatravriti Yojana Online Application Form is available on National Scholarship Portal.
• Student has to Register themselves first.
• After Registration, Login in the National Scholarship Portal with the User Name and Password.
• The following details will be filled in Himachal Pradesh Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chatravriti Yojana Online Application Form step wise :-
  • Personal Details.
  • Contact Details.
  • Education Related Details.
• Upload all the documents on the portal if any.
• Preview the Application Form and Click on Submit Button to submit.
• Take a print out of the filled Application Form and Submit it along with all the documents in the educational institution.
• Head of the Educational Institution will attest the application form and forward it to department for further consideration.
• Application Form of Himachal Pradesh Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chatravriti Yojana along with all the documents will be scrutinized by the concerned officials.
• Students will be notified through SMS or Email on their mobile phone about their selection for scholarship.
• Scholarship Amount under Himachal Pradesh Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chatravriti Yojana will be transferred directly in the bank account of beneficiary student.
