Introduction

• The Andhra Pradesh TDP government has announced an Unemployment allowance scheme.
• Under this beneficiary scheme, the government will provide a monthly allowance to all eligible unemployed youths in the state.
• According to Andhra Pradesh Unemployment Allowance Scheme, eligible beneficiaries will receive a monthly allowance of Rs 3,000/-.
• The government will credit this assistance directly into the beneficiary bank account via DBT mode.
• We have seen many a times that unemployed youth face financial crunch during their job preparation.
• Recognizing this issues, the government trying to alleviate the financial burden on such youth, so they can prepare for their government job freely.
• To overcome this, the government has announced Unemployment Allowance Scheme.
• In 2019, the TDP launched a similar scheme known as Mukhyamantri Yuva Nestham, providing monthly benefits of Rs 1,000/-
• We would like to reiterate that the AP Unemployment Allowance Scheme was a part of TDP and its coalition assembly election manifesto.
• Post a formidable victory in the assembly election, N. Chandrababu Naidu government is poised to implement it.
• Once the scheme is implemented, the eligible beneficiaries can apply for it.
• However, the AP Unemployment financial assistance scheme application form details are yet to be shared.
• Beneficiary must satisfy the eligibility conditions outlined in the scheme guidelines to receive scheme benefits.
• The Andhra Pradesh TDP government promised that their government will generate 20 lakhs jobs for the state's unemployed educated youth.
• Until then, these unemployed youth that are eligible for the scheme will receive benefits of this scheme.
• There are around 15 lakhs unemployed youth, who are preparing for government and private sector jobs, are going to receive benefits of this initiative.

Benefits of Scheme

• Under the Andhra Pradesh Unemployment Scheme, the government will provide following benefits: -
  • Allowance of Rs 3,000/- will be provided to each eligible beneficiary.
  • Benefits will be provided on a monthly basis.

Eligibility Criteria

• Benefits of the Andhra Pradesh Unemployment Allowance Scheme will be provided to those who meet the following guidelines. However, the shared guidelines are tentative and subject to change.
  • He/She must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh.
  • Applicants age likely to be less than 35 years.
  • Must have completed bachelor's degree or diploma certificate.
  • Must not have booked under any criminal offense.
  • Should be unemployed.
  • Must hold a BPL/White Ration Card.
  • Should not have a PF account.

Documents Required

• While applying for the 'AP Unemployment Allowance Scheme', the eligible beneficiaries must submit their following documents: -
  • Aadhaar Card.
  • Employment Registration Card.
  • Passport Size photograph.
  • Domicile Certificate.
  • Caste Certificate.
  • Academics Certificate.
  • Other as stated in the notification.

How to apply

• Beneficiaries must submit their application to receive under the AP Unemployment Allowance Scheme.
• However, during the scheme's announcement, the government didn't specify whether scheme application procedure would be online or offline.
• Scheme application procedure will be outlined in the scheme guidelines soon.
• In order to submit scheme application forms, the applicants must keep their details and documents beforehand.
