Haryana Drone Didi Scheme

Introduction

• On August 12, 2024, the Haryana government came up with a new scheme called 'Drone Didi Scheme'.
• Through this scheme, the state government will provide drone pilot training to registered SHGs women of the state.
• Under Drone Didi Scheme, the government aims to train around 5000 women of 500 Self Help Groups (SHGs).
• During the training, candidates will learn how to fly and maintain drone.
• Training under the Haryana Drone Didi scheme will be provided by Drone Imaging and Information Services of Haryana (DRIISHYA) in Kamal.
• Scheme will open a wide range of self employment doors for these women's, allows them to provide their services to the farmers and others and earn up to Rs 1 lakh in a year.
• Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Department will be the nodal department of the scheme to look after scheme implementation.
• Scheme announced is known by other names, such as 'Haryana Drone Didi Yojana', or Drone Didi Scheme Haryana'.
• The government will provide a subsidy up to 80% or Rs 8,00,000/- to buy drones and its accessories.
• Drone purchased under the Haryana Drone didi scheme can be used only for commercial purposes.
• Moreover, the government will provides an interest free loan up to Rs 5 lakhs for the remaining cost of the drone.
• This loan will be provided for a period of one year, whose interest will be borne by the state government.
• Haryana drone didi scheme is similar to the central 'Namo drone didi scheme'.
• Applicants aged between 18 to 40 years, who have at least pass 10th grade and fulfil the required medical fitness criteria, can apply for the scheme.
• Applicants who meet the eligibility condition of the Haryana drone didi scheme can submit its application online.
• Registration process for Drone Didi Scheme Haryana is commenced from August 12, 2024.

• As one drone will be provided to each of the 500 SHGs, the selection of the applicants will be done based on their financial status and their contribution to society.
• DRIISHYA, the training partner of Haryana Drone Didi scheme, will provide one week training for the Drone Remote pilot certificate (RPC) in batches.
• Training partner will share the details of the batches with the candidates.
• The training charges under the scheme will be of Rs 20,650/- will be borne by the state government.
• However, lodging services under the training are paid if candidates opt for it.

Benefits of Scheme

• Eligible beneficiaries will receive following benefits, under the Haryana drone didi scheme : -
  • Drone pilot training will be provided to 5,000 Self Help Groups Women's.
  • Drone operation training and maintenance will be provided
  • One drone will be provided to each 500 SHGs.
  • Subsidy of 80% for the purchase of drone.
  • Interest free loan up to Rs 5 lakh for the amount other than subsidy will be provided.
  • SHGs women can earn up to Rs 1 lakh per year.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants who meet the following eligibility criteria for Haryana Drone Didi Scheme can avail of its benefits : -
  • Applicants must be permanent residents of Haryana.
  • Only women applicants associated with Self Help Group can apply.
  • Age of the applicants should be between 18 to 40 years (as per DGCA guidelines)
  • Applicants at least pass matriculation examination.
  • Applicant must posses PPP (Parivar Pehchan Patra) ID.
  • Applicant must be medically and physically fit as per the recommended standards.

Documents Required

• When submitting applications for Haryana Drone Didi Scheme, it is mandatory for the applicants to produce their following documents : -
  • Address Proof.
  • Self Help Group ID.
  • PPP ID.
  • Age Proof.
  • Matriculation Certificate.
  • Academic Certificate.
  • Medical fitness certificate.
  • Passport Size photograph.

How to Apply

• Haryana Drone Didi Scheme applications will be accepted online.
• The application form link for Haryana Drone Didi scheme is available on the Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Department portal.
• Applicants must keep their requisite documents with them before starting the application process.
• The Haryana Drone didi scheme registration process is commenced from 12 August 2024.

Registration Process

• For registration, users need to select the Drone Didi Scheme from its home page.
• Next, select the 'Apply Scheme' tab and click on the 'New Registration' link.
• Now, applicants need to submit their following details : -
  • SHG Registration Number.
  • SHG Name.
  • Group formation date.
  • Number of members in SHG.
  • SHG leader name.
  • SHG head mobile number.
  • SHG or head email id.
• After entering such details, submit your registration form.
• Upon successfull registration, application ID will be generated.

Application Process

• Applicants need to login with the generated application ID and the provided SHG Head mobile number.
• Next, users need to fill out the complete application form with the required details.
• Upload the requisite documents in the provided space.
• Before final submitting, review your application form once.
• After submission, the authorities will review your application form.
• If your application if found valid, you can avail of the benefits under the scheme.

Training Charges

• Through the Haryana drone didi scheme, the government will provide drone operation and maintenance training.
• The training provided under the scheme will cost around Rs 20,650/- (including GST).
• However, applicants are not required to pay any fee for the training.
• Training charges under the Haryana drone didi scheme will be borne by the SDIT YE&E of Haryana.

Lodging Charges

• The government will not charge any training fee from the beneficiaries, but lodging charges are applicable if an applicant opts for it.
• Under the scheme, the government will charge lodging fee, as per the rates given below : -
  • Rs 375/- per day per trainee for X category cities/town.
  • Rs 315/- per day per trainee for Y category cities/town.
  • Rs 250/- per day per trainee for Z category cities/town.
  • Rs 220/- per day per trainee for rural and areas not registered as a municipal/town area.
• Applicants who do not opt for the lodging facility have to arranged lodging facility at their own.
