Rajasthan Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana

Introduction

• Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana is the social welfare scheme of Rajasthan Government.
• It was started on 06-09-2021.
• The main objective behind launching Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana is to encourage people to help those persons who injured in Road Accident.
• Most of the time people do not help the person injured in Road Accident due to fear of Police Interrogation.
• Due to this, injured persons could not get treatment on time and sometime they also loss their life.
• So by keeping this things in mind, Rajasthan Government announced in their 2021-2022 budget to start Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana.
• Department of Medical, Health and Family Welfare of Rajasthan Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana is also known by some other below mentioned names :-
  • "Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana".
  • "Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Scheme".
• Under Rajasthan Government's Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana, those persons will be awarded with financial assistance who help the road accident victims and take them hospital on time.
• Those helping persons will be called as "Good Samaritan".
• Rs. 5,000/- will be provided to every Good Samaritan who take the seriously injured person in road accident to nearest private or government hospital.
• Apart from financial assistance, a Certificate of Appreciation will also provided to Good Samaritan.
• Good Samaritan will be selected on the recommendation from Hospital.
• To avail the benefit of Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana, Good Samaritan will have to contact the Casualty Medical Officer of Hospital.

Benefits

• The below mentioned benefits will be provided to those people who admits the person injured in road accident under Rajasthan Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana :-
  • Incentive of Rs. 5,000/-.
  • Certificate of Appreciation from State Government.
  • No Interrogation by Police.

Eligibility

• Every Person are eligible under this scheme irrespective of their Age, Caste, Religion.
• Each and Every Person are eligible to avail the benefit of Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana who :-
  • Take the Injured Person and Admit him/ her in any Government Hospital.
  • Or Take the Injured Person and Admit him/ her in any Private Hospital.

Ineligibility

• The below mentioned people are not eligible to avail the benefit of financial assistance under Rajasthan Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana :-
  • Employees of 108 Ambulance.
  • Employees of 1033 Ambulance.
  • Employees of Private Ambulance.
  • Policemen Posted in PCR Duty.
  • On Duty Policemen.
  • Relatives of Injured Person.

How To Apply

• The benefit of Rajasthan Chief Minister Jeevan Raksha Yojana will only provided if Good Samaritan willfully agreed to provide personal information.
• Casualty Medical Officer presented at Emergency Room will collect the below mentioned information of Good Samaritan on Hospital Record Form :-
  • Name.
  • Age.
  • Gender.
  • Name of All Good Samaritan. (If More than One).
  • Address.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Email ID.
  • Bank Account Details with IFSC Code.
• Hospital Administration will then send the Recommendation Form along with all the details to Director, Public Health through Email within 3 Days.
• Director of Public Health will transfer the Amount of Rs. 5,000/- as promised under Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana within 2 days after receiving the recommendation form.
• Good Samaritan Certificate will be sent on the address of beneficiary.

Features of Scheme

• Hospital Administration will behave respectfully with the Good Samaritan.
• If Good Samaritan wants to leave the hospital then no one can force her/ him to stay.
• Rs. 5,000/- will be distributed equally if there is more than one Good Samaritan.
• Certificate of Appreciation will be provided separately.
• Police should will not interrogate the Good Samaritan for anything.
• Incentive Amount should be provided to Good Samaritan within 2 Days of receiving recommendation.
