Introduction

• Marriage of a Girl is an expensive affair and required tons of money to take care the marital expenses.
• Karnataka is a State having low income tribal families which needed mandatory assistance for the marriage of their daughter..
• So, Karnataka Government started Marriage Assistance Scheme for the welfare of Brides of Karnataka belonging to Schedule Tribe Category.
• It was started in the year 2016.
• The main objective behind launching this scheme is to provide financial assistance for the marriage of poor girls belongs to Schedule Tribe of Karnataka.
• Department of Scheduled Tribe Welfare of Karnataka Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• Government of Karnataka will provide financial assistance of Rs. 50,000/- to the Brides belonging to Schedule Caste Category under Karnataka Schedule Tribe Marriage Assistance Scheme.
• Bride and Bride Groom belonging to Schedule Tribe Category are only eligible to avail the benefit of financial assistance for marriage.
• The Annual Family Income of Couple should be below Rs. 2,00,000/- per year.
• Marriages held after 11-08-2015 are eligible to for financial assistance under Karnataka Schedule Tribe Marriage Assistance Scheme.
• It is mandatory to apply for financial assistance within 1 year of marriage.
• Application received for financial assistance after 1 year will not be considered at any possible reason.
• Marriage Certificate is required at the time of applying for Karnataka Schedule Tribe Marriage Assistance Scheme.
• Eligible Beneficiaries can apply for financial assistance by filling Online Application Form of Karnataka Schedule Tribe Marriage Assistance Scheme.

Benefits

• The following financial assistance will be provided to Brides of Karnataka belonging to Schedule Tribe Category under Karnataka Schedule Tribe Marriage Assistance Scheme :-
  • Financial Assistance of Rs. 50,000/- for the Marriage of Schedule Tribe Brides of Karnataka.

Eligibility

• Couple should be a Permanent Residents of Karnataka.
• Bride and Bride Groom should be belong to Schedule Tribe Category.
• Marriage should be held on or after 11-08-2015.
• The Annual Family Income of Bride Family should be below Rs. 2,00,000/- per year.
• Application for Assistance should be submitted within 1 year of marriage.

  • Domicile of Karnataka.
  • Aadhar Card of Bride and Bridegroom.
  • Caste Certificate.
  • Income Certificate.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Marriage Photograph.
  • Marriage Certificate.
  • Mobile Number.

How to Apply

• Eligible Beneficiaries can apply for financial assistance under Karnataka Schedule Tribe Marriage Assistance Scheme by filling Online Application Form.
• Karnataka Schedule Tribe Simple Marriage Assistance Scheme Online Application Form is available on Karnataka Government's Tribal Welfare Department Website.
• Beneficiary has to Register themselves by entering Aadhar Number of Bride and the Aadhar Number of Bride Groom.
• After Registration fill the basic details about Bride, Bride Groom, Address of Couple, Marriage Details in the Application Form.
• Upload all the required documents.
• Enter the Bank Account Details.
• Preview the Application Form carefully and Click on Submit Button.
• Print the Acknowledgement Receipt for future use.
• Application Form along with all the documents will be forwarded for verification to District Tribal Welfare Officer.
• After verification, the financial assistance under Karnataka Schedule Tribe Marriage Assistance Scheme will be transferred in the given bank account of beneficiaries.
