Karnataka ST Widow Re-Marriage Assistance Scheme

Introduction

• Karnataka Government launched a lots of Scheme for the welfare of schedule tribe people of State.
• Schedule Tribe Widow Re-Marriage Assistance Scheme is one the major welfare Scheme started by Government of Karnataka.
• The main objective behind launching Schedule Tribe Widow Re-Marriage Assistance is to resettle the lives of Widows belongs to Schedule Tribe category whose lives were shattered after the demise of their husband.
• Department of Scheduled Tribe Welfare of Karnataka Government is the implementing department of this Scheme.
• Under Karnataka ST Widow Re-Marriage Assistance Scheme, Government of Karnataka will provide financial assistance of Rs. 3,00,000/- for the Re-Marriage of Widows of Karnataka.
• Only Widow of Schedule Tribe Category are eligible to avail the benefit of financial assistance under Karnataka ST Widow Re-Marriage Assistance Scheme.
• If any couple taken the financial assistance earlier under Karnataka Schedule Tribe Simple Marriage Assistance Scheme then they would only be eligible to get remaining amount of Rs. 2,50,000/-
• There is no Caste or Religious boundation for husband. Widow can choose her husband of her own choice.
• No Annual Family Income is required to avail the benefit of financial assistance.
• Applicant and her spouse should be a permanent residents of Karnataka State.
• It is mandatory to apply for ST Widow Remarriage Scheme financial assistance within 1 year of marriage.
• Application received for financial assistance after 1 year will not be considered at any cost.
• Death Certificate and Identity Proof of Widow's Deceased Husband should be uploaded at the time of applying for financial assistance.
• Present Marriage Certificate is required at the time of applying for Karnataka ST Widow Re-Marriage Assistance Scheme.
• Eligible Beneficiaries can apply for financial assistance by filling Online Application Form of Karnataka Widow Re-Marriage Assistance Scheme.

Benefits

• The following financial assistance will be provided to Widow of Karnataka after her Re-Marriage under Karnataka ST Widow Re-Marriage Assistance Scheme :-
  • Financial Assistance of Rs. 3,00,000/- will be provided.

Eligibility

• Beneficiary should be Permanent Resident of Karnataka.
• Beneficiary should be a Re-Married Widow and belongs to Schedule Tribe Category.
• Widow Should be Re-Married to get Financial Assistance.
• There is No Annual Family Income Limit.
• Application should be submitted within 1 year of Marriage.
• Spouse/ Husband of a Widow should be belong to any Caste or Religion.

• The below mentioned documents is needed at the time of applying for financial assistance for marriage under ST Widow Remarriage Assistance Scheme of Karnataka Government :-
  • Domicile of Karnataka.
  • Aadhar Card of Bride and Bride Groom.
  • Caste Certificate.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Marriage Photograph.
  • Present Marriage Certificate.
  • Deceased Husband Identity Proof.
  • Deceased Husband Death Certificate.
  • Mobile Number.

How to Apply

• Re-Married Widow of Karnataka State belonging to Schedule Tribe Category can apply for financial assistance under Karnataka ST Widow Re-Marriage Assistance Scheme by filling Online Application Form.
• Online Application Form of Karnataka ST Widow Remarriage Assistance Scheme is available on Tribal Welfare Department Website.
• Beneficiary has to Register herself by entering the Aadhar Number of herself and the Aadhar Number of Husband.
• After Registration fill the personal details, contact details and marriage details, bank account details in the Application Form.
• Upload all the mandatory documents in the portal.
• Preview the Application Form carefully and Click on Submit Button.
• Take the print out of Acknowledgement Receipt for future use.
• Application Form of ST Widow Re-Marriage Assistance Scheme and all the documents will be verified by the District Tribal Welfare Officer.
• After verification, the financial assistance under Karnataka ST Widow Re-Marriage Assistance Scheme will be transferred in the given bank account of beneficiary.
