Manipur State Competitive Scholarship Scheme

Introduction

• Manipur State Competitive Scholarship Scheme is started by Government of Manipur .
• Scheme is implemented by the Department of Education ,Manipur .
• This scheme is also termed as "State Competitive Scholarship Examination" of Manipur .
• Objective of the scheme is to provide Financial assistance as scholarship to the students .
• Scheme inspire students to become hardworking and improve participation in pre matric education .
• This scheme support economically weaker section of the society for pursuing education.
• Under the scheme, beneficiary should have passed Class 5 and Class 8 .
• The selection of students for the scholarship will be done through an examination which will be conducted by the Education Department, Manipur.
• To get financial benefits under the scheme, the student must have passed the previous class from Government school,
  Government Aided School and any Recognized School of Manipur .
• For preparing for the exam ,students of class 5 and class 8 can refer the syllabus of Board of Secondary Education Manipur.
• Exam will be conducted in  english mode only by Department of Education Manipur .
• Beneficiary will get scholarship of Rs 4800 /-year for Class 5 and Rs 7800/-per year for Class 8 under the scheme .
• Eligible Beneficiary can apply for the benefit of Financial assistance through the following means :-
  • Manipur State Competitive Scholarship Scheme by Online Application Form.
  • Manipur State Competitive Scholarship Scheme Offline Application Form For Class 5 .
  • Manipur State Competitive Scholarship Scheme Offline Application Form For Class 8.

Benefits

• The following benefits will be provided to the beneficiary under Manipur State Competitive Scholarship Scheme .:-
  • Financial assistance of Rs 4800/-per year will be provided to Class 5 Students .
  • Financial assistance of Rs 7800/- per year will be provided to Class 8 Students .

Eligibility

• Applicant should be a Permanent Resident of Manipur .
• Applicant must have passed Class 5 and Class 8.
• Eligible applicant should scored following marks in their previous class :-

  Category	Marks Required
  General	More than 60 %
  OBC	More Than 55%
  SC/ST	More than 50%

• Students should passed from the following recognized institute are eligible for the scheme :-
  • Government School .
  • Government Aided School and
  • Recognized School of Manipur .

How to Apply

• Eligible beneficiary for avail the benefit of Manipur State Competitive Scholarship Scheme has to fill Offline Application Form first .
• Beneficiary can get following Offline Application Form of Manipur State Competitive Scholarship Scheme from Offices of Educational Department /School of Manipur .
  • Manipur State Competitive Scholarship Scheme for Class 5 .
  • Manipur State Competitive Scholarship Scheme for Class 8 .
• After receiving the application form ,it has to be filled carefully .
• Attach all the Required document with application form .
• Submit the application form of Manipur State Competitive Scholarship Scheme along with the document in the same Office or School from where the application form has been taken .
• Submitted Application Form and Document will be verified by the Concerned Officer of Department of Education ,Manipur .
• Manipur Department of Education conduct a separate test for class 5 and class 8 students for the selection .
• Students who get selected in Manipur State Competitive scholarship can apply for scholarship through Online Application Form is available on National Scholarship Portal.
• Apply for Scholarships beneficiary has to Registered themselves first .
• After registration ,applicant can Login with received User ID and Password in the Portal .
• Applicant need to provide the following detail for filling the application form :-
  • Personal Details .
  • Contact Details .
  • Educational Details .
• Upload all the required document in the portal .
• Preview your application from and click on submit button to submit the application form.
• The application will be scrutinized by the concerned officer of Department of Education Manipur.
• After verification beneficiary will get Financial assistance in their bank account .
• Applicant should have to Renew their scholarship yearly for availing the benefit of the scheme .
• Beneficiary can also check their Application Status of Manipur State Competitive Scholarship Scheme Online .

Competitive Exam Structure

• To be eligible for the scheme following marks are required in each subject in Class 5 :-

  Class 5
  Subject		Maximum Marks	Number of Questions	Time Duration
  Mentally ability Test	MAT	50	50	60 minutes.
  Scholastic Aptitude Test	Mathematics	15	15	20 minutes.
  	Environmental Studies	35	35	40 minutes.

• To be eligible for the scheme following marks are required in each subject in Class 8:-

  Class 8
  Subject		Maximum Marks	Number of Questions	Time Duration
  Mentally ability Test	MAT	50	50	55 minutes.
  Scholastic Aptitude Test	Mathematics	10	10	15 minutes.
  	Science (Physics, chemistry and Biology )	20	20	25 minutes.
  	Social Science (History , Geography ,Economics and civics )	20	20	25 minutes.
