Nanda Gaura Yojana

Introduction

• Nanda Gaura Yojana is the major flagship scheme of Uttarakhand Government.
• It was started in the year 2017.
• Department of Women Empowerment and Child Development of Uttarakhand Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• The main objective behind launching Nanda Gaura Yojana is to improve the infant mortality rate to stop feutus killing and to stop child marriages in Uttarakhand State.
• Nanda Gaura Yojana is also know by "Nanda Gaura Scheme".
• Government of Uttarakhand will provide financial assistance to girls of state in two 2 phases under Nanda Gaura Yojana :-
  • Benefits of Phase 1 will be provided at the time of Birth of Girl Child.
  • Benefit of Phase 2 will be provided when Girl Passed Class 12th.
• Financial Assistance of Rs. 11,000/- will be provided to beneficiaries in phase 1 of Uttarakhand Nanda Gaura Yojana.
• Whereas, Financial Assistance of Rs. 51,000/- will be provided to Girl in phase 2 of Nanda Gaura Yojana of Uttarakhand Government.
• Only those families are eligible to apply for financial assistance under Nanda Gaura Yojana whose annual family income is Rs. 6,000/- per month i.e. 72,000/- per year.
• Birth of a Girl Child should be in Hospital, No financial assistance will be provided if the birth of a girl child is in home.
• Financial benefits will only applicable for 2 Girl Child per Family.
• Earlier, Offline Application Form is to be filled in order to avail the benefit of financial assistance under Nanda Gaura Scheme.
• But now no offline application form of Nanda Gaura Yojana is to be entertained.
• The whole process of Nanda Gaura Yojana is Online now.
• Beneficiary can apply for any phase of Uttarakhand Nanda Gaura Yojana through Online Application Form which is available on Official Portal of Nanda Gaura Yojana.

Benefits of Scheme

• The below mentioned financial assistance in 2 phases will be provided to all girl beneficiary under Uttarakhand Nanda Gaura Yojana :-

  Category	Amount
  At the time of Birth	Rs. 11,000/-
  After Passing Class 12th	Rs. 51,000/-
  Total	Rs. 62,000/-

Eligibility

• Beneficiary should be a Permanent Resident of Uttarakhand.
• Birth of a Girl Child should be Institutional. (For Phase 1)
• Girl should be Unmarried at the time of Passing Class 12th. (For Phase 2)
• The Annual Income of Family should be 6,000/- per Month i.e. 72,000/- per Year.

Documents Required

1. The below mentioned documents is needed under Nanda Gaura Yojana when applied at the time of Girl Child Birth :-

   Domicile of Uttarakhand. Institutional Delivery Certificate. Birth Certificate. Income Certificate. Aadhar Card of Mother/ Father/ Guardian. Certificate from Anganwadi Worker. Copy of Bank Passbook.

2. The following documents is needed under Nanda Gaura Yojana when applied after passing class 12th :-

   Domicile of Uttarakhand. Annual Income Certificate. Birth Certificate. Aadhar Card of Girl. Unmarried Self Declaration. Bank Passbook Copy. Aadhar Card of Mother. Anganwadi Worker Certificate. Certificate from School Principal. Copy of Parivar Register.

How to Apply at the Time of Birth of Girl

• Parents can apply for financial assistance under Uttarakhand Nanda Gaura Yojana at the time of birth of a girl child by filling Online Application Form.
• Online Application Form of Nanda Gaura Yojana is available at Uttarakhand Nanda Gaura Yojana Official Portal.
• Beneficiary can fill the Nanda Gaura Yojana Online Application Form in the following 2 stages :-
  • Beneficiary Details.
  • Documents Upload.
• In Stage 1 of Beneficiary Details, the below mentioned details will be filled in the registration form :-
  • Type of Residence. (Rural or Urban)
  • District, Block and Anganwadi Centre Name.
  • Name of Girl Child.
  • Mother Name.
  • Father Name.
  • Date of Birth.
  • Aadhar Number of Mother.
  • Mobile Number of Mother.
  • Place of Birth.
  • Registration Number of Birth Certificate.
  • Income Certificate Registration Number.
  • Registration Number of Domicile Certificate.
  • Annual Income of Family.
  • Caste.
  • Complete Address.
  • Bank Account Details.
• Click on Submit Button after filling all the details for stage 2.
• Now upload all the documents on the Nanda Gaura Yojana Portal.
• Preview the Application Form then Click on Submit Button to Submit it.
• Concerned official from department will scrutinized the application form and documents.
• Selected Beneficiary will get Phase 1 Amount of Rs. 11,000/- in their given bank account.
• Beneficiary can also check the Application Status of Uttarakhand Nanda Gaura Yojana Online.

How to Apply After Passing Class 12^th

• Girl Child have to apply separately for phase 2 of Nanda Gaura Yojana after passing class 12th.
• Nanda Gaura Yojana Phase 2 Online Application Form is available at Uttarakhand Nanda Gaura Yojana Official Portal.
• Phase 2 Online Application Form of Uttarakhand Nanda Gaura Yojana is filled in 2 stages :-
  • Details of Beneficiary.
  • Documents Upload.
• The below mentioned details will be filled in stage 1 :-
  • Residence Type. (Urban or Rural)
  • District, Anganwadi Center and Block Name.
  • Aadhar Number of Girl.
  • Name of Girl.
  • Mother's Name.
  • Father's Name.
  • Date of Birth.
  • Caste.
  • Mother Aadhar Number.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Roll Number of Class 12th.
  • Board Name.
  • Family Annual Income.
  • Income Certificate Number.
  • Issue Date of Income Certificate.
  • Marital Status. (Should be Unmarried)
  • Permanent Address.
  • Details of Bank Account.
• Click on Submit Button for Stage 2.
• Upload all the required documents on the portal.
• Click on Submit Button to Submit and Take a print out of Application Form for future reference.
• Application Form of Nanda Gaura Yojana along with the documents will be verified by the concerned officials of department.
• Selected Girls will get phase 2 amount of Rs. 51,000/- under Uttarakhand Nanda Gaura Yojana in their bank account.
• Phase 2 Application Status of Nanda Gaura Yojana will be check after filling Application ID.

Features of Scheme

• Benefits of Nanda Gaura Yojana of Uttarakhand Government will only applicable for 2 girl child.
• It is mandatory to apply for financial assistance under Nanda Gaura Yojana within 6 months of girl child birth.
• Amount of phase 1 will be provided in joint bank account of mother and girl child.
• Whereas, financial assistance provided in phase 2 of Nanda Gaura Yojana will be provided in the separate bank account of girl.
• Institutional Deliveries are subject to consider eligible under Uttarakhand Nanda Gaura Yojana.
• Institutional Deliveries includes deliveries in any of the below mentioned institution :-
  • Government Hospital.
  • Private Hospital.
  • ANM Center.
• If Girl Child delivered in Home then she is not eligible for financial assistance.
• Birth Certificate, Domicile and Income Certificate is not needed for those girl beneficiary who resides in :-
  • Balika Niketan.
  • Nari Niketan.
  • Orphanage.
