Introduction

• Recently, the Jharkhand government has announced various beneficial schemes for their citizens.
• Among them, one such scheme is the 'Mukhyamantri Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana'.
• Under this scheme, the government aims to extend the medical benefits provided under the centrally sponsored scheme Ayushman Bharat Yojana.'
• Central government sponsored Ayushman Bharat Yojana offers medical benefits up to Rs 5 lakhs only.
• However, the Jharkhand government thought that the benefits provided under the Ayushman Yojana is not enough to cater the needs of the families.
• To address this issue, former Chief Minister Champai Soren has announced the Mukhyamantri Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana.
• Under this scheme, the state government extends the medical facilities up to Rs 15 lakhs annually to their citizens.
• However, the beneficiary continues to receive the benefits of Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
• The scheme also covers the 21 critical diseases earmarked under the 'Mukhyamantri Gambhir Bimari Yojana'.
• Therefore, the beneficiary of Mukhyamantri Gambhir Bimari Yojana can opt for either Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana or Gambhir Bimari yojana.
• It should be noted that the implementation of the scheme has yet to be done and as per the information available, it will be done before independence day.
• The benefits of Mukhyamantri Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana can be availed by the beneficiaries who hold ration cards (Pink, Yellow, and Green) issued by the government.
• After its implementation, around 38, 21,100 lakh families are going to receive the benefit of Mukhyamantri Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana.
• Medical treatment under the scheme will be provided at the hospitals accredited under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
• To receive benefits, applicants need to show the scheme card issued by the government to eligible beneficiaries.
• The Mukhyamantri Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana card will be issued to applicants who apply for the scheme online.
• Currently, only a few details has been provided by the government. Once we receive its detailed information we will update them here.

Benefits of Scheme

• Here are some benefits, that beneficiary are going to receive under the Mukhyamantri Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana :-
  • Eligible beneficiary will receive a free medical treatment of Rs 15 lakhs.
  • All ration card holders are eligible for the scheme.
  • Citizens receiving benefits of Ayushman Yojana are also eligible for the scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must confirm their eligibility criteria before applying for the Mukhyamantri Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana. As of now, only a few details about the criteria are available. Once we have its complete details, we will update them here.
  • Only domiciled citizens can apply for the scheme.
    
  • Applicants must hold a valid ration card issued by the state or central government.
  • Applicants receiving benefits of Ayushman Bharat Yojana are also eligible for this scheme.

Documents Required

• To apply for the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana, applicants are required to keep their following documents ready :-
  • Aadhaar Card.
  • Ration Card (Yellow, Green, and Pink)
  • Address Proof.
  • Income Certificate.
  • Caste Certificate.
  • Passport Size photograph.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Other as stated in the scheme guidelines.

How to apply

• Eligible applicants can apply for the Mukhyamantri Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana Online.
• To receive the Mukhyamantri Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana applications online, a portal will be developed soon.
• During application submission, any member of the family's Aadhaar card number can be seeded to generate the details.
• Upon interlinking the provided Aadhaar number with the ration card, other family member details will be submitted easily.
• Once the Aadhaar seeding process is completed, the authority will issue a PVC card for the Mukhyamantri Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana.
• Beneficiaries are required to present this card to receive the benefits of the scheme.
• Once the Mukhyamantri Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana portal is live and its application process is available, we will update the same here.
