Rajasthan Kisan Kaleva Yojana

Introduction

• In order to provide nutritious food to our farmers at a subsidized or concessional rate, the government has started "Rajasthan Kisan Kaleva Yojana".
• The main objective of the scheme is to provide nutritious food to farmers and register hamal in mandi at subsidized rate.
• The announced scheme is the modified version of 'Apani Rasoi Yojana, commenced in the year 2009.
• In 2014, the state government renamed the 'Apani Rasoi Yojana' to 'Kisan Kaleva Yojana'.
• Often we seen farmers visit marketplaces to sell their agricultural commodities from a far.
• With this initiative, farmers, along with the registered hamal/palledar/tulara, can purchase meals at a reasonable price.
• Under the scheme, government will provide a thali which includes items like : -
  • Chapatis (8)
  • A bowl of daal.
  • A bowl of vegetables.
  • Buttermilk (during summer season)
  • Jaggery (during winter season)
• The thali provided under the Kisan Kaleva Yojana costs around Rs 40/- but mandi samiti provide a grant of Rs 35/- through this scheme.
• As a result, the cost of thali provided to the farmers will be just Rs 5 per plate.
• Maximum two coupons per vehicle will be provided to farmers.
• Farmers can collect these Kisan Kaleva Yojana food coupons when entering the mandi gate.
• Meanwhile, hamal/palledar/tulara and others registered with mandi samiti can collect one food coupon from the mandi samiti staff.
• Hamal/palledar/tulara need to present their identification proof to collect the food coupon.
• Food Coupons under the Rajasthan Kisan Kaleva Yojana will be provided during day time only.
• The Kisan Kaleva Scheme coupons will remain valid for 24 hours only.
• To provide the benefits of the scheme, the government has appointed the State Agriculture Department as the nodal authority.
• Beneficiaries who are eligible for the Kisan Kaleva Scheme can apply for it online.
• Janaadhaar number and SSO ID is required to register for the Kisan Kaleva Yojana.
• The Rajasthan Kisan Kaleva Scheme is implemented across the states 'A' and 'B' categories mandis.

Benefits of Scheme

• The Rajasthan Kisan Kaleva Yojana aims to provide nutritional meals to its eligible beneficiaries at subsidized rate of Rs 5 per plate.
• Under the scheme, beneficiaries will get a meal thali at the mandi premises.
• Meal thali will include the following items : -
  • Eight Chapatis.
  • One bowl of dal.
  • One bowl of vegetables.
  • Jaggery (from October to March).
  • Buttermilk (from April to September).

Eligibility Criteria

• The following peoples are eligible to receive the benefits of Rajasthan Kisan Kaleva Yojana : -
  • Farmers who come to sell their agricultural goods/commodities.
  • Hamal/Palledar/Tulara registered in the market.
  • Other members of the market.

Documents Required

• To receive the benefit of Rajasthan Kisan Kaleva Yojana, applicants need to produce their following documents : -
  • Janaadhar number.
  • Mandi Registration Number.
  • Mobile Number.
  • SSO ID number.
  • Identification proof.

How to Apply

• Applicants can apply for the Rajasthan Kisan Kaleva Yojana online.
• The application form for Kisan Kaleva Yojana is available at Rajasthan Agriculture department website.
• To apply, users need to select Kisan Kaleva Yojana from the agriculture marketing section, under the farmers menu.
• The scheme application link and its details will appear on your screen.
• Read the details and proceed to the application link.
• Users can apply for the scheme through their SSO ID or Janaadhar number.

  Applicants who choose the SSO ID option need to follow the procedure given below. First, login with SSO ID and password. Applicants who have not registered in the SSO portal need to first register on it. Select Raj-Kisan from the list. Now, select farmers and enter your Janaadhar details. Select one member from the list and enter its member ID. Select the scheme name and complete the authentication process. After this, applicants need to provide some of their details and submit it.

  Meanwhile, applicants who choose Jan Aadhaar option follow the below procedure : - Enter Jan Aadhaar number and submit it. Select the member from the list and enter its member ID. Complete the verification procedure through OTP. Post this, enter the required details and submit it.

List of Mandis

• Here are the lists of market places or mandis where farmers and other eligible individuals can avail the benefits of Kisan Kaleva Yojana benefits. The market places list is divided into three categories viz Special categories, Category 'A', and Category 'B'.
