Mode of Application

Introduction

  • Haryana Aapki Beti Hamari Beti Scheme was introduced by Haryana Government in year 2015.
  • The main objective behind starting this scheme is to stop female foeticide, improve sex ratio and provide better education opportunities to the girl child.
  • The nodal department of this scheme is Haryana Women and Child Development Department.
  • For the first girl child born on or after 22nd January 2015 in SC/BPL families, Rs. 21,000 will be invested with LIC of India.
  • For the second and third daughters born on or after 22nd January 2015 in other category families, Rs. 21,000 will be invested with LIC of India.
  • The LIC amount with interest will be given to the girl child after she completes 18 years.
  • Under this scheme, the following will be eligible to receive the benefits:-
    • Permanent resident of Haryana.
    • First daughter of Schedule Caste families.
    • Second and third daughters of other category families.
  • Under the scheme, financial assistance will be given to Scheduled Caste/BPL families/all other categories on the birth of a daughter.

Benefits of Scheme

  • The following benefits will be given to the eligible beneficiaries under the "Haryana Aapki Beti Hamari Beti Scheme":-
    • For the first girl child born on or after 22nd January 2015 in SC/BPL families, Rs. 21,000 will be invested with LIC of India.
    • For the second and third daughters born on or after 22nd January 2015 in other category families, Rs. 21,000 will be invested with LIC of India.
    • The LIC amount with interest will be given to the girl child after she completes 18 years.
    • Additionally, the following conditions apply to those eligible under the Ladli scheme:-
      • All category families with a second girl child born on or before 21st January 2015 will receive Rs. 5,000 per annum for five years for each girl child.
      • In the case of twin or multiple girls born on or before 21st January 2015, each girl child will receive Rs. 2,500 per annum for five years.
      • These benefits are provided irrespective of caste, creed, religion, income, or the number of sons in any family in the state of Haryana.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant should be a permanent resident of Haryana.
  • SC/BPL families are eligible on the birth of first daughter.
  • Other category families are eligible on the birth of second and third daughter.
  • Pregnant women should be registered at a nearby Anganwadi center or Health Department.
  • Girls must receive appropriate and timely vaccinations, and vaccination records should be attached with the application.
  • Girls should have an Aadhaar number.
  • However, during enrollment, the Aadhaar number of the parents can also be accepted.
  • Beneficiaries should be enrolled in Anganwadi centers according to their age.

Documents Required

  • The following docmuments are required at the time of applying for the "Haryana Aapki Beti Hamari Beti Scheme":-
    • Birth Certificate.
    • Parivar Pehchan Patra Number.
    • Tikka Report/Immunization Card for verification of timely immunization.
    • Address Proof (Any of the following):-
      • Ration Card.
      • Voter ID.
      • Electricity Bill.
      • Telephone Bill.
    • Caste Certificate (Only in case of SC).
    • BPL Certificate (Only in case of BPL).

How To Apply

Online Application Process

  • Applicants can apply online for the Haryana Aapki Beti Hamari Beti Scheme through the Haryana Saral Portal.
  • Firstly, applicants need to register themselves on the Saral portal.
  • Use the generated login ID and password to log in to the Haryana Saral Portal.
  • After logging in, the application form window will appear.
  • Fill out all the required details and attach necessary documents.
  • Double-check all information and submit the application form.
  • After verification, applicants will be notified regarding the approval of their application.

Offline Application Process

  • For offline application beneficiary can apply through Haryana Aapki Beti Hamari Beti Scheme Offline Application Form.
  • Collect the application form from the district office of the Women and Child Development Department.
  • Alternatively, download the application form from the Haryana Women and Child Development Department website.
  • Fill out the application form accurately.
  • Attach all necessary documents along with the application form.
  • Double-check all filled details and attached documents for accuracy.
  • Submit the application form to the district office of the Women and Child Development Department.
  • The concerned department will verify all received application forms and notify eligible beneficiaries regarding the approval of their application.
