Introduction

  • Uttarakhand Government is committed to every section of its state.
  • And to fulfill this commitment, the government has launched numerous beneficial schemes for various categories.
  • In 2015, the government introduced a scheme aimed at upliftment of minority categories, called the Mukhyamantri Hunar Yojana.
  • As the name suggests, the objective of the scheme is to identify and hone the skills of the minority groups.
  • Under this scheme, the government will provide training to the beneficiaries in Sewing, Embroidery, Knitting, Plumbing, Electronics etc.
  • During the training period, the trainee is provided with information about the specifics of the work and related details.
  • Moreover, during training, they will also receive a stipend based on their working hours.
  • This stipend will be credited directly into their bank account.
  • The Uttarakhand Minority Welfare and Waqf Development Corporation is the nodal agency responsible for the successful implementation of the scheme in the state.
  • The benefits of the Mukhymantri Hunar Yojana extended to the people fall under the minority categories.
  • Minority categories include, Muslim, Sikhs, Christian, Buddhist, Parsi, and Jain.
  • To be eligible for the scheme, the beneficiary age must be between 18-45 years.
  • Beneficiaries may apply for the scheme offline by visiting the Minorities welfare and Waqf Department of Uttarakhand.
  • Applications that do not meet the eligibility conditions of the Mukhyamantri Hunar Yojana will be rejected by the government.

  • After successful completion of training, the training institute also provides assistance to the trained individuals in finding the suitable employment.

Benefits of Scheme

  • Beneficiaries of the Uttarakhand Mukhyamantri Hunar Yojana will receive the following benefits: -
    • Unemployed youth of the state will receive training in Sewing, Embroidery, Knitting, Plumbing, Electronics etc.
    • Trainees will receive a stipend based on the number of training hours completed by them during their work.

100 Hrs. 2,000/- Rs.
150 Hrs. 2,500/- Rs.
250 Hrs. 3,000/- Rs.
300 Hrs. 4,500/- Rs.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Only such beneficiaries will receive the benefit of Mukhyamantri Hunar Yojana, who may fulfill the following criteria as instructed for the scheme: -
    • Applicants belong to the minority community.
    • The age of the applicants should be between 18 to 45 years.
    • The applicant must have passed class 5.
    • Applicants must have completed their education either from Uttarakhand Board or Madarsa.
    • To get training in Information and Technology course, the applicant must have passed the 10 class.
    • The family income of rural area beneficiaries must not exceed Rs. 3,50,000/- per annum.
    • The yearly family income of urban area beneficiaries should not be greater than Rs. 4,50,000/-.

  • The applicants need to submit following documents to fulfill their eligibility criteria for Mukhymantri Hunar Yojana: -
    • Aadhaar Card.
    • Birth Certificate.
    • Domicile Certificate.
    • Address Proof.
    • Income Certificate.
    • Academic Qualification documents.
    • Caste Certificate.
    • Passport size photograph.
    • Mobile number.
    • Documents related to bank accounts.

How to apply

  • Beneficiaries who meet the eligibility conditions may apply for the Uttarakhand Mukhyamantri Hunar Yojna.
  • Applications for the Mukhymantri Hunar Yojna will be accepted through offline mode.
  • Eligible beneficiaries can obtain the scheme application form from the Uttarakhand Minorities Welfare Department office.
