West Bengal Akanksha Housing Scheme

Introduction

• Every Government employee has a dream to have their own house but due to low income that dream not able to get fulfil.
• To fulfil the dream of government employees to own their own house, West Bengal Government launched West Bengal Akanksha Scheme.
• This scheme was launched in 28th of February 2014.
• The main objective behind starting Akanksha Housing Scheme is to provided permanent house to employees of Government of West Bengal.
• West Bengal Government will now provide Constructed Flats to the government employees ata very nominal price.
• Scheme is implemented by Housing Department,West Bengal.
• Under West Bengal Akanksha Scheme below mentioned area initially comprises of :-
  • The project area comprises of 5.0599 acre land with 13 towers.
  • It Consist of 7G+10 Tower for Elegant ,Premium and Classic Categories along with 6 straight 4 Towers for Economy and Standard Categories.
• Total 576 Flats will be Constructed along with 236 covered car parking and 35 open car parking.
• Constructed Flats will be provided to government employees on the basis of flat category at below mentioned prices :-
  • Rs. 44,45,400/- for Elegant (3BHK) flats.
  • Rs. 39,46,300/- for Premium (3BHK) flats.
  • Rs. 28,64,400/- for Classic (2BHK) flats.
  • Rs. 15,62,000/- for Economy (2BHK) flats.
  • Rs. 10,20,800/- for Standard (1BHK) flats.
• Beneficiary has to submit Application Fees of Rs. 25,000/- at the time of applying for flat under West Bengal Akanksha Housing Scheme.
• Eligible Beneficiary can apply by filling the Online Application Form of West Bengal Akanksha Scheme.

Benefits of Scheme

• West Bengal Government will provide the following benefits to state government employees under West Bengal Akanksha Housing Scheme :-

  Constructed Flats will be provided to the Beneficiary at nominal price. Flats are provided in following nominal prices :- Flat Category Prices 3BHK (Elegant) Rs. 44,45,400/- 3BHK (Premium) Rs. 39,46,300/- 2BHK (Classic) Rs. 28,64,400/- 2BHK (Economy) Rs. 15,62,000/- 1BHK (Standard) Rs. 10,20,800/- Total 576 Flats will be Constructed along with following number of Car Parking Area for Elegant, Premium and Classic category :- Parking Area type Total Number of Parking Covered Car Parking Area 236. Open Car Parking Area 35.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicant should be a permanent Residents of West Bengal.
• Applicant should be a West Bengal Government Employee.
• Applicant should not be a beneficiary of any other housing scheme.

• Following document that are required at the time of applying for housing assistance under West Bengal Akanksha Housing Scheme :-

  Residence Proof of West Bengal/ Domicile Certificate. Aadhar Card. Income Certificate. Identity Proof of Government Employee.

How to Apply

• Beneficiary can avail the benefit of West Bengal Akanksha Housing Scheme by filling Online Application Form.
• West Bengal Akanksha Housing Scheme Online Application is available on Housing Department Portal.
• Applicant has to first read all the terms and condition before applying.
• Click on apply button after reading all terms and conditions.
• After Apply, applicant can fill the Online Application Form of Akanksha Housing Scheme.
• Fill the required details in the application form.
• Upload all the document.
• Applicants has to deposit Rs. 25,000/- as an application fees after filling the application form in any branch of Bank of Baroda.
• Received Application will be scrutinised by the concerned officers of West Bengal Housing Department.
• After verification applicant will be selected on lottery basis.
• Allotment Letter will be given to the selected beneficiary.
• Those applicant who need Space for Car Parking shall hold a separate lottery for car parking space, separate price will be fixed for the Car parking.

Akanksha Housing Scheme Payment Criteria

• Payment for Elegant, Premium and Classic Flats will be paid in following manner :-

  1st Instalment	20% of Total Price	Within 30 days of completing the 6 Floor

  3rd Instalment	10% of Total Price	Within 30 Days of completing entire building
  4th Instalment	Final Amount	Before Taking Possession

• Payment for Economy and Standard Flats will be paid in following manner :-

Features of Scheme

• Following applicants are not eligible for housing assistance under Akanksha Housing Scheme :-
  • Applicant who are Central Service Officers.
  • Employees of Panchayat,Municipalities ,Corporations.
  • Employees who are working in School and College/university that are not authorised by Government .
  • Aided or Sponsored Institutes that come under State Government .
  • Applicant who is retired but reemployed government employees.
  • Employees of West Bengal working in Judicial Services.
• Allottee surrender the allotment after payment of instalment or other charges then the payment will be refunded
  after deducting 15% of given amount without any interest.
• If applicant fails to deposit any instalment or other charges for the flat within the specified time frame then allottee has to
  charge 12% per year Interest on delayed payment amounts.
• Applicant provide wrong information then his/her application get rejected and no refund will be provided.
