Haryana CHEERAG Scheme

Introduction

• Haryana Cheerag Scheme is the major educational reform scheme of Haryana Government.
• It was started on 1st of July 2022.
• The full for of Cheerag in Cheerag Scheme is "Chief Minister Equal Education Relief Assistance And Grant Scheme".
• Cheerag Scheme is also known by some names like :- "Haryana Cheerag Yojana" or "Mukhyamantri Haryana Saman Shiksha, Rahat Evam Anudan Yojana".
• Department of Elementary Education of Haryana Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• The main objective behind starting Haryana Cheerag Scheme is to provide quality education to poor students by securing their admission in Private Schools.
• Government of Haryana will now borne the fees of those students who are willing to study in private schools.
• Eligible Students can now take free of cost education from Class 3rd to Class 12th in listed private schools under Haryana Cheerag Scheme.
• Only those students are eligible who passed his/her previous class from Government School.
• Students from those families are not eligible to apply for free of cost education under Haryana Cheerag Scheme whose families annual income is more than Rs. 1,80,000/-.
• The last of Cheerag Scheme is 12-05-2023.
• Right now there is no Official Website of Cheerag Scheme and there is no Online Application Procedure of Cheerag Scheme.
• Eligible Students can apply for admission in Class 3rd to Class 12th through Offline Application Form.
• Offline Application Form of Cheerag Scheme is available at any listed private school.

Benefits of Scheme

• Free of Cost Education in Private School will be Provided in Cheerag Scheme.
• Student can study free of cost in Private Schools from Class 3rd to Class 12th.
• Government of Haryana will borne the fees of Selected Students.
• Haryana Government will pay the below mentioned fees to private schools :-

  Class	Fees
  Class 3rd to Class 5th	Rs. 700/- per Month.
  Class 6th to Class 8th	Rs. 900/- per Month.
  Class 9th to Class 12th	Rs. 1100/- per Month.

Eligibility Conditions

• Government of Haryana sets the below mentioned eligibility conditions for Haryana Cheerag Scheme :-
  • Student should be a Permanent Resident of Haryana.
  • Annual Income of Family should not be more than Rs. 1,80,000/-.
  • Parents of Student should not be in Government Service.
  • Student willing to take Admission Class 3rd to Class 12th in Private School.
  • Student must have passed his/her previous class from Government School.

• The following documents is required at the time of applying for Haryana Cheerag Scheme :-
  • Residence Proof of Haryana.
  • Child Aadhar Card.
  • Birth Certificate of Child.
  • Caste Certificate. (If Applicable)
  • Parents Aadhar Card or Voter ID Card.
  • School Leaving Certificate from Previous School.
  • Income Certificate.
  • Passport Size Photo of Child.
  • Mobile Number.

How to Apply

• Eligible Students can avail the benefit of free of cost education in private school by filling Application Form of Cheerag Scheme.
• Haryana Cheerag Scheme Application Form is available at listed Private Schools Office.
• Collect the Application Form of Cheerag Scheme and fill it carefully.
• Attach all the required documents with the Application Form.
• Now Submit the Cheerag Yojana Application Form along with all the documents in the office of that private school in which student is willing to take admission.
• School Admission Authorities will scrutinised the received application forms and documents.
• Information of Selected Students under Cheerag Scheme will be uploaded on MIS Portal by School Authorities.
• Parents of Child will get an SMS in case of selection of student for admission.
