Assam Punya Tirtha Yojana

Introduction

• Assam Government's Finance Minister Smt. Ajanta Neog presents 2024-2025 financial year budget in the state assembly on 12th of February 2024.
• She announced lots of scheme to be started from the upcoming financial years which starts from 1st of April 2024.
• One religiously important scheme announced by her while presenting the budget is "Punya Tirtha Yojana".
• It is going to be implemented in whole of Assam from this very next financial year.
• Department of Tourism of Assam Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• After implementation, this scheme is going to be known by some other major names in Assam such as :-
  • "Assam Punya Tirtha Yatra Scheme".
  • "Assam Punya Tirth Yojana".
  • "Assam Punya Tirth Scheme".
  • "Assam Punya Tirtha Yojana - Ayodhya Pilgrimage".
  • "অসম পুণ্য তীৰ্থ যোজনা".
• Now, Assam Government will facilitate the residents and send them on a tour of Prabhu Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya Dham free of cost under it's newly announced Punya Tirtha Yojana.
• All the expenses incurred on travelling like on Travelling, Food and Accommodation will be borne by the Government of Assam.
• Beneficiary does not have to pay any money under this scheme to visit Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya Dham.
• In the initial phase of Punya Tirtha Scheme of Assam Government, 25,000 devotees will be send to visit Ram Mandir at Ayodhya.
• Assam Government allocate Rs. 25 Crore budget provision for the year 2024-2025 for proper implementation of Punya Tirtha Yojana.
• Right now, Assam Punya Teerth Yojana is just an budgetary announcement.
• So, Beneficiary will have to wait little bit more in order to visit Shri Ram Mandir at Ayodhya Dham free of cost under Punya Tirtha Yojana.
• Government of Assam will soon released the Application Form and remaining eligibility conditions along with official guidelines of Punya Tirth Yatra Yojana.
• No Online Application Form or Offline Application Form or Website of Punya Tirth Yojana of Assam is available right now.
• As soon as we get any update about this scheme, we will update it here.

Benefits of Scheme

• Every Eligible Beneficiary will get the following benefits under Punya Tirtha Yojana of Government of Assam :-
  • Free of Cost Visit to Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya Dham.
  • 25,000 Beneficiaries will take the benefit in the Initial Phase.
  • Fooding and Lodging Expenses during visit will be borne by Assam Government.
  • Beneficiary doesn't need to pay any money for the visit of Ayodhya Dham.

Eligibility Criteria

• Only those beneficiaries are eligible to visit Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya Dham free of cost under Punya Tirtha Yojana of Assam Government who fulfill the following eligibility conditions :-
  • Beneficiary should be a Permanent Resident of Assam.
  • The Age of Beneficiary should be 18 Years or Above.
  • Beneficiary should be Medically Fit and have no Health Issues.

Documents Required

• The documents which are expected to be required at the time of applying for free of cost visit to Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya Dham under Assam Punya Tirtha Yojana are as follows :-
  • Residence Proof of Assam.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Income Certificate.
  • Age Proof.
  • Caste Certificate. (If required)
  • Medical Certificate.
  • Mobile Number.

How to Apply

• On 12th of February 2024, Finance Minister of Assam Smt. Ajanta Neog while presenting the state budget in the assembly announced to start Punya Tirtha Yojana in Assam.
• Beneficiaries will going to visit Prabhu Shri Mandir in Ayodhya Dham from this very next financial year of 2024-2025 under Assam Punya Tirtha Yojana.
• As soon as the next financial year starts, cabinet of Assam Government will gave its nod to implement this scheme in whole of State.
• Then concerned department will frame the Guidelines of Assam Punya Tirtha Yojana.
• With the available information, the Application Process of Punya Tirtha Yojana of Assam Government is not clear yet.
• It will depend of Government of Assam to accept applications under Punya Tirtha Yojana through Online Application Form or through Offline Application Form.
• In case of Online Application Form, Punya Tirtha Yojana Website will be made available for beneficiaries to apply online.
• Offline Application Form of Assam Punya Tirtha Yatra Yojana will be available in Village Panchayat or in the District Office of Tourism Department.
• Assam Punya Tirth Yojana Application Procedure will be cleared once the official guidelines is released.
