Maharashtra Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana

Introduction

• Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister of Maharashtra Sh. Ajit Pawar presents supplementary budget of government on 28th of June 2024.
• He announced lots of welfare scheme for every faction of society.
• One of the major scheme he announced is "Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana".
• The main objective behind announcing this scheme is to make women financially independent and self reliant.
• Women and Child Development Department of Maharashtra Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• After its official implementation, it is going to be known by some other names such as "Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme" or "Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme" or "Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana" or "Mukhyamantri Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana" or "Mukhyamantri Mazhi Ladki Bahin Yojana".
• A financial assistance of Rs. 1,500/- per month will be provided to all eligible women of Maharashtra under Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.
• This financial assistance will help the women to improve their health and nutritional status.
• Women of age group of 21 years to 65 years are eligible to get financial assistance under this scheme.
• Earlier the age limit of Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana was 60 years but now Government of Maharashtra extends it to 65 years.
• Those women whose family income is more than Rs. 2,50,000/- are not eligible to get the benefits.
• Government of Maharashtra allocate a budget of Rs. 46,000/- crore for smooth implementation of this scheme.
• It is to be estimated that more than 2.5 crore women will get the benefit of Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.
• From 1st of July 2024, Women Beneficiary can apply for financial assistance under Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.
• The last date to apply for Mukhyamantr Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is 15-07-2024.
• Beneficiary Women can apply under this scheme till 15th of July 2024.
• Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana Application Form can be downloaded from here.
• Eligible Women Beneficiary can apply for Maharashta Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana through Online Application Form and through Offline Application Form. Both the modes are available.

Benefits of Scheme

• The following benefits will be provided to all eligible women beneficiary under Maharashtra Government's Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana :-
  • Per Month Financial Assistance will be provided.
  • Rs. 1,500/- per Month will be provided to all eligible women.

Eligibility Criteria

• Maharashtra Government sets the following eligibility criteria to provide monthly financial assistance under its newly announced Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana :-

  Only Women Beneficiary are eligible to apply. Beneficiary Women should be :- Married. Widowed. Divorced. Abandoned. Destitute. The Age of Women should be between 21 years to 65 years. Beneficiary should have her own Bank Account. The Annual Family Income of Women Beneficiary should not be more than Rs. 2,50,000/-.

Ineligibility Criteria

• Maharashtra Government also sets the ineligibility criteria for Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana which are as follows :-

  If the Annual Family Income is more that Rs. 2,50,000/-. If any of the family member is a taxpayer. If any family member is a permanent or contractual employee of Central/ State/ Government or any Public Undertaking. If any family member is pensioner. If family have more than 5 Acre of Land. If there is a four wheeler in house. (Tractors are exempted)

Documents Required

• Documents that are required at the time of applying for financial assistance under Maharashtra Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana are as follows :-
  • Residence Proof of Maharashtra.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Birth Certificate.
  • Income Certificate.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Passport Size Photo.
  • Ration Card.
  • Self Declaration.

How to Apply

• Beneficiary Women can apply for Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana through Application Form.
• Offline Application Form of Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is available free of cost in the office of Anganwadi Centre or Child Development Project Officer/ Gram Sabha/ Gram Panchayat Office.
• Collect the Application Form of Mukhyamantri Mazhi Ladki Bahin Yojana and attach all the required documents and submit it in the same office from where it was collected.
• After preliminary scrutiny of recieved application form and documents, the list of selected beneficiary will then forward to concerned authority for final approval.
• After final approval, financial assistance of Rs. 1,500/- under Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana will be transferred in the bank account of beneficiary.
• Whereas, Online Portal will be launch to fill the online application form of Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.
• Website of Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana will be make available very soon for online application.
