Introduction

• Finance Minister of Delhi Smt. Atishi presents Delhi Governments budget of the year 2024-2025 on 4th of March 2024.
• Delhi Government has 76,000/- Crore Budget for the year 2024-2025 in which again there is a announcement of new welfare scheme for the residents of Delhi.
• The main center of attraction of this year Delhi Government Budget is the new scheme announced for women empowerment.
• The name of scheme announced by Finance Minister Smt. Atishi for Women Empowerment will be "Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana".
• This scheme will going to be implement in whole of Delhi from this very upcoming year of 2024-2025.
• The main objective of Delhi Government behind starting Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana is to empower women financially so that their purchasing power will increased.
• After implementation of this scheme, it is going to be known by some other major names in state such as "Delhi Chief Minister Mahila Samman Scheme" or "Delhi Chief Minister Mahila Samman Yojana" or "Delhi Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Scheme" or "Delhi Financial Assistance Scheme for Women" or "Delhi Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojna".
• It is to be expected that Delhi Government's Department of Women and Child Development is the nodal department of this scheme.
• While attending the press conference, Chief Minister of Delhi Sh. Arvind Kejriwal quotes that the Economy of India will be strong only when people have money in their pocket to spend.
• That's why, Delhi Government is going to launch Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana in which per month financial assistance will be provided to all eligible women beneficiary.
• Rs. 1,000/- per month will be provided under Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana to every eligible women beneficiary by Delhi Government.
• The benefit of financial assistance of Rs. 1,000/- per month under Delhi Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana will be provided to only those women beneficiaries whose age is above 18 years.
• All Married and Unmarried Women are eligible to apply for monthly financial assistance.
• Government of Delhi also sets the ineligibility conditions of Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana in which below mentioned women beneficiary are not eligible to apply for financial assistance :-
  • Government Pension beneficiary women.
  • Women who are in Government Job. (Central and State)
  • If Women Beneficiary is a Income Tax Payer.
• Except the above mentioned women, each and every women of Delhi are eligible to apply and get the financial assistance of Rs. 1,000/- per month under Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana.
• Right now this scheme is just an announcement from the side of Delhi Government and it will take time to launch this scheme.
• Very soon the Official Guidelines of Delhi Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana will be released by the concerned department.
• Delhi Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana Application Process is also not clear as per the available information.
• Registration of Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana will be done through Online Application Form or Offline Application Form.

Benefits of Scheme

• Every Eligible Women Beneficiary of Delhi will get the following benefits from Government of Delhi under Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana :-
  • Per Month Financial Assistance will be provided to all Women Beneficiary of 18 Years of Above Age.
  • Rs. 1,000/- per month will be provided to all women under Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana.
  • Financial Assistance of Rs. 1,000/- per month will directly transferred in the bank account of women.

Eligibility Criteria

• Financial Assistance of Rs. 1,000/- per month under Delhi Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana will be provided to only those women beneficiaries who fulfill the following eligibility criteria :-
  • Women Beneficiary should be a Resident of Delhi.
  • The Age of Women Beneficiary should be 18 Years or Above.
  • Women should not be a beneficiary of any government pension.
  • Women Beneficiary should not be in a service of central or state government.
  • Women Beneficiary should not be a Income Tax Payer.

Document Required

• Beneficiary Women will have to attach the below mentioned documents at the time of applying for 1,000/- per month financial assistance under Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana of Delhi Government :-
  • Residence Proof of Delhi.
  • Income Certificate. (If Required)
  • Mobile Number.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Self Declaration.
  • Passport Size Photo.
  • Bank Account Details.

How to Apply

• Finance Minister of AAP led Delhi Government Smt. Atishi announced to start Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana while presenting the budget of the year 2024-2025.
• Chief Minister of Delhi Sh. Arvind Kejriwal while attending the press conference convey that this scheme will going to be roll out in this very financial year of 2024-2025 after taking necessary approval from cabinet.
• Guidelines of Delhi Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana will be framed by the concerned department after cabinet approval.
• Application Process of Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana will be clear once the official guidelines is released.
• As per the available information it is not clear whether the Application Procedure of Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana is through Online Application Form or through Offline Application Form.
• Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana Apply Process will solely depends on Delhi Government.
• In case of Online Application Form, Government will form the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana Website.
• And if the Applications in Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana will be through Offline Application Form, then the Beneficiary can collect the Application Form from their nearest District Office of Women and Child Development.
