Gujarat Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana

Introduction

• Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana is the scheme of Gujarat Government for the welfare of pregnant women and lactating mother of the State.
• It was launched on 01-06-2020.
• During pre and post pregnancy period, every women and her child need nutrition to grow and stay strong physically.
• The time period of 270 days from the time woman conceives and 730 days from the birth to 2 year is called as First Window of Oppurtunity.
• In those 1000 days women need proper care in term of diet which requires protien, fat and micro nutrients daily in her food.
• Considering all those facts in mind, Government of Gujarat starts Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Scheme to provide nutrient rich raw food for two years to beneficiaries.
• In this scheme Government of Gujarat will provide below mentioned food items to beneficiaires for two years :-
  • 2 KG of Gram.
  • 1 KG of Tur Dal.
  • 1 Liter of Edible Oil.
• All the pregnant women, lactating mother and their child are covered under this scheme.
• Department of Women and Child Development of Gujarat Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• Benefits will be provided to the beneficiary from the date of registration of pregnant women till 2 years after birth of a child.
• Raw food items will be distributed among beneficiaries through Anganwadi Centers.
• It is to be estimated that more than 7 lakh beneficiries will get benefit from Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana.
• Eligible Beneficiaries can register themselves by visiting the Anganwadi Centers.
• Beneficiaries can also register themselves through Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana Portal or through Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana Mobile App.

Eligibility

• Permanent Residents of Gujarat.
• Applicant should be a Pregnant Women or Lactating Mother.
• Applicant should be a registered in Techo Software of Gujarat Health and Family Welfare Department.
• Pregnant Women will receive the items free of cost from the date of registration to the date of delivery.
• Same as Lactating Mother will receive the items free of cost upto 2 year from the birth of her child.

Benefits

• The following items per month will be provided free of cost to the beneficiary under Gujarat Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana :-
  • 2 KG of Gram.
  • 1 KG of Tur Dal.
  • 1 Liter of Edible Oil.

• Residence Proof of Gujarat.
• Aadhar Card.
• Ration Card.
• Mobile Number.

How to Apply

• There are 3 ways to get enroll in Gujarat Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana.
• First Visit the Anganwadi Center, take a application form, attch all the documents and submit it.
• The AASHA Worker will do the rest of work of registration.
• The 2nd way is to go to Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana Portal.
• Click on Services and choose Self Registration.
• Fill the personal and contact details.
• Upload all the required documents and submit it.
• The 3rd way is by applying through Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana Mobile App.
• Download the Mobile App of Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana.
• Open it and Click on Self Registration.
• Fill the details, upload all the required documents and submit it.
• Then Beneficiary has to visit Anganwadi Centers every month to collect the raw food items.
