Introduction

As we know, there are numerous households in rural areas that lack access to clean and potable water.
Since years, these households are depends on the ponds, well and other sources to fetch water for their daily needs.
To understand these problems, under Jal Jeevan Mission the central government announce the 'Har Ghar Nal Yojana' in 2019.
The main objective of the scheme is to supply tap water to nearly 16 Cr households by 2024.
Scheme ensures to provide safe water to all households and prevent their children from various diseases like Diarrhoea.
To achieve this target, the government has allocated 3.60 lakh crores Rs.
Also, the functionality of the existing water connection will be ensured under this mission.
As of 29 Feb 2024, a total of 14,42,26,979 tap water connection is provided under the Har Ghar Nal Yojana.
Under the programme, Goa becomes the first state followed by Telangana and Andaman and Nicobar island to provide 100% tap water supply.

To apply for Har Ghar Nal Yojana, the applicants must be in a possession of following documents. However, the list may vary state wise, before applying applicants must confirm the same with the department of water resources.

Eligible applicants shall submit their Har Ghar Nal Yojana application offline.
For this, they must collect the Har Ghar Jal Yojana Application form from the Water Resource department.
After collecting the form, they have to fill all the mandatory details mentioned in the form.
Thereafter, attach all the necessary documents to it and paste a latest photograph in the space given.
Please submit this duly filled Har Ghar Nal Yojana application form with required connection fee to the department from where you collected it.
Upon verification, the officials will provide the connection.
