Haryana CHIRAYU Scheme

Introduction

• Haryana Government is making great effort for the upliftment of poorest of poor through various Schemes.
• In this line the state Government has started a new Scheme called CHIRAYU Haryana Scheme on 21st November 2022, to help Antyodaya Families living in the State.
• CHIRAYU stands for "Comprehensive Health Insurance of Antyodaya Units".
• It is an extension of Ayushman Bharat benefits in state with the vision to provide quality health services to poor and vulnerable groups in the society, as expenses on health makes such families even more weak.
• Families identified as Antyodaya Units and Divyangjan (Person with Disability) in state will be given Health benefits directly by State government providing facilities to 1.25 Crore Antyodaya population.
• Scheme provides a health insurance cover up to Rs. 5 lakh per family per year.
• The beneficiary can avail treatment for his family of up to Rs. 5 lakh free of cost from any Government Hospital and Em panelled Private Hospital in State.
• State estimates that a total of 29 lakh families will be benefited with the scheme. Around 50% people of state shall be able to benefit under the scheme.
• Identification number will be allotted to eligible families and Card will be issued which will be used at the time of hospitalisation.
• Currently Golden Card shall be provided to Antyodaya families and card will be distributed till 31st December 2022 to cover all beneficiaries in State.
• Families will be identified under SECC (Socio-Economic Caste Censes) database and data will be shared with district to identify eligible beneficiary.
• Applicant can visit near CSC (Common Service Centre) Centre for Registration under Scheme.
• After registration applicant will be given free Black-White Card and PVC card(Latest form of Aadhar Card) shall be given after 15 days.
• There is no age limit and family size limit for Scheme to ensure that all the family members can be covered under CHIRAYU Haryana scheme.
• Data of beneficiary is shared with National Health Authority so that it can be linked with Ayushman Bharat Scheme Portal.
• The state is taking initiative to increase the income of Antyodaya families and also design various schemes to make their life better.
• In future the State is planning to implement a scheme that could provide free check up of every member of family once a year and it will be started first for Antyodaya families.
• Now, Government of Haryana extended the CHIRAYU Scheme for those people whose annual income is between Rs. 1,80,000/- to Rs. 3,00,000/-.
• Extended version beneficiary will have to pay a nominal amount of Rs. 1,500/- in order to get registered and avail the benefit of Haryana CHIRAYU Scheme.
• Benficiary can visit the CHIRAYU Ayushman Portal and Apply Online by paying Rs. 1,500/-.
• Card Distribution to those beneficiaries will started from 1st of November 2023.

Benefits of Scheme

• Beneficiary can avail free treatment of up to Rs. 5,00,000/- in all Government and listed Private hospitals.
• Free treatment is provided for 1500 Diseases in 729 Hospitals (176 Government and 553 Public Hospitals) for poor families and disabled people.
• No fee will be charged for identified facilities under scheme.
• Beneficiary can avail cashless and paperless access to Health services under Scheme.
• Following Medical facilities are free in State :-
  • 228 Operations.
  • 70 Test.
  • 21 dental Treatment.
  • 541 Medicines.

Eligibility Conditions

• Applicant should be a resident of Haryana State.
• Applicant should belong to Antyodaya population or should be Divyangjan.
• Family Income of Applicant should be up to Rs. 1,80,000/- per Year.
• Now those Applicants are also Eligible whose Family Income is more than Rs. 1,80,000/- and less than Rs, 3,00,000/- by paying Rs. 1,500/- per Year.

How to Check Eligibility for CHIRAYU

• Following are the three ways in which you can check your eligibility for the Haryana CHIRAYU Scheme :-
  • Download the Ayushman Bharat (PMJAY) App from Google Store on your mobile phone and check your eligibility for the scheme.
  • Eligibility can be confirmed by Ayushman Mitra working in Public Hospital or Listed Private Hospitals.
  • Eligibility can be checked by visiting near CSC (Common Service Centre) Centre Or CSC VLE (Village Level Entrepreneur).
