Introduction

• Every person has a desire to visit pilgrimage or holy places of his/ her religion at least once in a life.
• Senior Citizen has this desire more than that of other persons.
• But most of the people are not that financially sound enough to bear the expenses incurred while travelling to pilgrimage place.
• Keeping these issues in mind Haryana Government took a bold step to fulfil the wish of old age people of state.
• Home Minister of India Sh. Amit Shah and Chief Minister of Haryana Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar announced to start "Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana" while addressing a rally in Karnal.
• The main objective behind starting this scheme is to provide assistance to old age people of Haryana so that they can easily visit the pilgrimage site of their choice.
• This scheme is going to be known by some other names also in state such as :- "Haryana Mukhyamantri Nishulk Teerth Yatra Yojana" or "Haryana Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Scheme" or "Haryana Chief Minister Free Pilgrimage Scheme" or "Haryana Chief Minister Nishulk Teerth Yatra Yojana".
• Now, the Old Age People of Haryana whose Age is 60 Years or above can visit the pilgrimage place of their choice free of cost.
• All Expenses incurred on Fooding and Lodging and on travelling will be borne by Government of Haryana under Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana.
• Eligible Beneficiaries can travel any pilgrimage place of their choice by rail.
• 1 Assistant is also eligible to accompany the beneficiary for pilgrimage site visit.
• Only those beneficiaries are eligible to apply for Haryana Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana whose annual family income is not more than Rs. 1,80,000/- per year.
• The Application Process of Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana of Haryana Government is not clear right now.
• Government will very soon released the Officials Guidelines of Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana.
• As soon as we get further information regarding the scheme, we will update it here.

Benefits of Scheme

• Selected Beneficiary will get the below mentioned benefits under Haryana Government's Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana :-
  • Free of Cost Pilgrimage Place Visit.
  • Pilgrimage Site Visit Expenses will be borne by Haryana Government.

Eligibility

• Haryana Government sets the following Eligibility Conditions for those Beneficiaries who are willing to visit the Pilgrimage Place Free of Cost under Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana :-
  • Beneficiary should be a Resident of Haryana.
  • The Age of Beneficiary should be more than 60 Years.
  • The Annual Income of Beneficiary should be less than Rs. 1,80,000/-.
  • Beneficiary belongs to BPL Category are also Eligible.

Documents Required

• The below mentioned documents is expected to be needed at the time of availing the benefit of free of cost pilgrimage visit under Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana of Government of Haryana :-
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Parivar Pehchan Patra. (PPP)
  • Income Certificate.
  • Caste Certificate. (If Applicable)
  • Mobile Number.
  • Pilgrimage Site Information.
  • Train Ticket Information.

How to Apply

• While addressing a political rally in Karnal, Home Minister Sh. Amit Shah with Chief Minister of Haryana Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar announced to start Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana in the state.
• At present there is no information available regarding the application process of Haryana Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana.
• It will depend on Government of Haryana to accept the Application Form of Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana through Offline Application Form or through Online Application Form.
• Haryana Government will very soon released the Official Guidelines of the Scheme.
• Thereafter the situation of apply procedure will get clear.
• Eligible Beneficiary can also visit their nearest Department of Tourism District Office for further information about Haryana Government's Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana.
