Rajasthan Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana

Introduction

• Rajasthan Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana is the flagship scheme of Government of Rajasthan.
• It was launched on 19th of November 2020.
• The main objective behind launching Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana is to improve the level of nutrition in Pregnant Women of State.
• Department of Women and Child Development of Rajasthan Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana is implemented in the State with the help of Department of Medical, Health and Family Welfare.
• This scheme is also called "Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Scheme" or "Rajasthan Indira Gandhi Maternity Nutrition Scheme".
• Government of Rajasthan will provide financial assistance in 5 instalment to pregnant women in order to improve the situation of malnutrition in the State.
• Financial Assistance of Rs. 6,000/- will be provided under Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana through following 5 instalment :-

  Instalment	Amount
  1st	Rs. 1,000/-
  2nd	Rs. 1,000/-
  3rd	Rs. 1,000/-
  4th	Rs. 2,000/-
  5th	Rs. 1,000/-

• Only those pregnant women are eligible to avail the benefit of financial assistance who conceive her second child on or after 01-04-2023.
• Rajasthan Government planned to implement Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana in two phases.
• In first phase this scheme had implement in below mentioned districts of Rajasthan :-
  • Pratapgarh.
  • Dungarpur.
  • Banswada.
  • Udaipur.
  • Baran.
• Women who conceive their second child on or after 01-11-2020 are only eligible to avail the benefit of Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana.
• But from the year 2022-2023, Government of Rajasthan announced to implement this scheme in whole of Rajasthan (33 District) in phase 2.
• In phase 2, Pregnant Women of Rajasthan who conceive her second child on or after 01-04-2022 are eligible to avail the benefit of financial assistance of Rs. 6,000/- under Rajasthan Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana.
• Having a Jan Aadhar Card or Bhamashah Card is mandatory in order to register in this scheme.
• Eligible Pregnant Women Beneficiary can register herself in Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana by visiting the office of ANM of Anganwadi Worker.

Benefits of Scheme

• Financial Assistance of Rs. 6,000/- in 5 Instalments will be provided to Pregnant Women with Second Child under Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana :-

  Instalment	Stage	Amount
  First	At the Time of First Anti Natal Checkups. (120 Days)	Rs. 1,000/-
  Second	Upon Completion of 2 Anti Natal Checkups. (Within 6 Months)	Rs. 1,000/-
  Third	At the Time of Child Birth. (In Hospital)	Rs. 1,000/-
  Fourth	Upon Completion of all Vaccine to Child	Rs. 2,000/-
  Fifth	On Taking Permanent Family Planning	Rs. 1,000/-
  Total Amount		Rs. 6,000/-

Eligibility Conditions

• Government of Rajasthan sets the below mentioned eligibility conditions in order to avail the benefit of Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana :-
  • Women should be a Permanent Resident of Rajasthan.
  • Women should be Pregnant with her Second Child.
  • Only those Women are Eligible who are Pregnant on or after 01-04-2022 for Second Child.

Documents Required

• The following documents is essentially required at the time of registration for Rajasthan Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana :-
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Bhamashah Card or Jan Aadhar Card.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Bank Passbook.
  • Mamta Card.

How to Apply

• Registration is must for every women beneficiary under Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana.
• The registration of pregnant women in Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana will be done by ANM or Anganwadi Worker.
• It is mandatory to have below mentioned documents at the time of registration :-
  • Jan Aadhar Card or Bhamashah Card.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Bank Passbook.
  • Mobile Number.
• Anganwadi Worker or ANM will collect the information of pregnant women and then forward it to Medical and Health Department for Registration.
• Official of Medical and Health Department will upload the information of pregnant women on PCTS Portal of Rajasthan Government.
• After that, the beneficiary of Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana will regulary receive her Instalment as per the Stage.
• There is no need to apply separately for any Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana Instalment.
• Beneficiary will receive her first instalment within 30 days of registration.
• Pregnant Women Beneficiary will also check the Status of Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana by visiting ANM Office or Anganwadi Worker.
