Introduction

• Jammu and Kashmir Himayat Scheme is a part of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana.
• Jammu and Kashmir Himayat Scheme was launched on November 2016.
• It is a Centralized sponsored scheme by Government of India.
• This Scheme was implemented by Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute.
• The Objective of the scheme is to improve skill and provide free training to the students.
• Main aim of the scheme is to generated self employment and improve condition of Jammu and Kashmir.
• Below mentioned Skill Training will be provided under Jammu and Kashmir Himayat Scheme :-
  • Computer-Oriented Skills.
  • Software Skills.
  • English Communication Skills.
  • Technical Skills.
• Under the scheme beneficiary will get free training for 3 months to 12 months.
• Placement will also provided to eligible students after completion of training.
• Priority will be given to School or College drop out Students.
• Beneficiary must be between 18 to 35 year of age, but exceptional for Women and other special group age can be upto 45 year.
• Eligible Beneficiary can avail the benefit by filling Jammu and Kashmir Himayat Scheme Online Application Form which is available at Himayat Mission Management Unit Portal.

Benefits

• Government will provide following benefit under Jammu and Kashmir Himayat Scheme:-

  Free skill training will be provided to students for 3 to 12 months. Government also provide employment to the eligible students after completion of the training. Training will be provide in following sectors :- Health care. Banking and Finance. Retail. Hospitality. IT(Information Technology). Automobile. Apparel. Security. Beauty and Wellness. Those trainee who complete 3 month training will get Rs 2000 per month for 6 months. Minimum startup salary will be given to those students who compete training in following months :- Starting salary of Rs 8000 per months after completion of 6 month training. Starting salary of Rs 12000 per months after completion of 9 months training. Government will provide Training completion certificate to the trainees.

Eligibility

• Applicant should be a permanent resident of Jammu and Kashmir.
• Applicant must be Between 18 to 35 year of age.
• Applicant must have passed at least 8th class.
• Following Applicant are eligible up to the age of 45 years :-
  • Women.
  • PVTGs(Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups).
  • PWDs(Person with Disability).
  • Transgender.
  • Other Special Groups.
• School/College Dropouts students are also eligible .

  Residence Proof/Domicile Certificate. Educational Certificate. Aadhar Card . District Employment and Counselling Registration Card . Mobile Number. Email ID . Passport Size Photo of Applicant. Caste Certificate(If required ). Age Proof.

How To Apply

• Eligible Beneficiary can avail the benefit of Jammu and Kashmir Himayat Scheme by filling Online Application Form.
• Jammu and Kashmir Himayat Scheme Online Application Form is available on Himayat Mission Management Unit Portal.
• Applicant has to Register first to avail the benefit of Jammu and Kashmir Himayat Scheme.
• For Registration applicant has to fill the following details :-
  • Personal Details.
  • Educational Details.
  • Contact Details.
• Choose the Course which he/she want to take and Click on Submit Button.
• After Registration, Applicant has to Login with received User Name and Password.
• Applicant can fill the application form and upload all the required document in the portal.
• Preview the application form and click on submit button.
• Received application will be scrutinized by the concerned department.
• Eligible beneficiary will get free skill training for 3months to 12 months.
• After completion of training government will provide training certificate and Placement to eligible beneficiary.
