Jharkhand Ped Lagao Free Bijli Pao Yojana

Introduction

• Chief Minister of Jharkhand Shri Hemant Soren gave the approval to start new scheme for the urban residents of Jharkhand in the month of July this year.
• Now Jharkhand Government decided to implement this scheme in whole of State.
• The name of Scheme is "Jharkhand Ped Lagao Free Bijli Pao Yojana".
• The main objective behind starting this scheme is to increase the green cover in Urban Areas of Jharkhand and also to give relief to people by providing them subsidy on electricity bills.
• This scheme is also going to be known by some other major names in the State such as :- "Jharkhand Ped Lagao Bijli Bill Par Subsidy Pao Yojana" or "Jharkhand Ped Lagao Muft Bijli Pao Yojana" or "Jharkhand Ped Lagao Nishulk Bijli Pao Yojana" or "Jharkhand Ped Lagane Par Bijli Anudan Yojana" or "Jharkhand Ped Lagao Free Bijli Pao Scheme".
• Government of Jharkhand will now provide the Subsidy on Electricity Consumption per month to the residents for planting trees in their houses.
• This initiative of Jharkhand Government will increase the green cover of State and also gave relief to people from higher electricity bill.
• Residents of Jharkhand will now get Subsidy of 5 Unit of Electricity for planting 1 tree in the house under Jharkhand Government's Ped Lagao Free Bijli Pao Yojana.
• Beneficiary Resident can get a Maximum Subsidy of 25 Unit per month in the Electricity Bill for planting 5 trees in the house.
• Benefits of Electricity Subsidy under Jharkhand Ped Lagao Free Bijli Pao Yojana will only provided to those residents who are living in Urban Areas of State.
• Only Domestic Electricity Connection Users are eligible to get subsidy on electricity bill.
• The roundness of trees planting in the house should be minimum 20 centimeter.
• Beneficiary can avail the benefit of subsidy on electricity bill provided under Ped Lagao Free Bijli Pao Yojana by filling the Offline Application Form.
• Application Form of Jharkhand Ped Lagao Free Bijli Pao Yojana is available in the office of Urban Local Body Development and Municipal Corporation.
• Benefits will only provided after proper ground inspection by concerned officials.
• Beneficiary will get the Subsidised Electricity Bill every month according to the trees he/ she planted in their house.

Benefits of Scheme

• Under the Ped Lagao Free Bijli Pao Yojana, Jharkhand Government will provide the following benefits to all eligible beneficiaries :-
  • Subsidy on Electricity Bill will be provided to Plant Trees in the House.
  • Subsidy of 5 Unit of Electricity on Planting 1 Tree at Home.
  • Maximum Subsidy of 25 Units of Electricity for Planting 5 Trees will be Provided.

Eligibility

• Government of Jharkhand sets the following eligibility conditions for the beneficiaries to provide them a subsidy on electricity bill under Ped Lagao Free Bijli Pao Yojana :-
  • Beneficiary should be Permanent Resident of Jharkhand.
  • Beneficiary should be Residing in Urban Area.
  • Beneficiary should have Domestic Electricity Connection in his/ her Name.
  • Each Beneficiary will be Eligible to get a Maximum of 25 Units Subsidy on 5 Trees.
  • Roundness of Planted Tree should be Minimum 20 Centimeter.

Documents Required

• The below mentioned documents is required to avail the benefit of subsidy on electricity bill under Jharkhand Government's Ped Lagao Free Bijli Pao Yojana :-
  • Residence Proof of Jharkhand.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Passport Size Photo.
  • Current Electricity Bill.
  • Affidavit.

How to Apply

• Beneficiary have to fill the Offline Application Form to avail the benefit of Subsidy on Electricity Bill under Government of Jharkhand's Ped Lagao Free Bijli Pao Yojana.
• Application Form of Jharkhand Ped Lagao Free Bijli Pao Yojana is available free of cost in the office of Urban Local Body Development or Municipal Corporation.
• Collect the Application Form and Fill it Correctly.
• Attach all the required documents with the application form.
• Then Submit the Jharkhand Ped Lagao Free Bijli Pao Yojana Application Form along with all the Documents in the same office of Municipal Corporation or Urban Local Body Development.
• Concerned Officials will verify the received application form and documents and make the list of selected beneficiaries.
• Officials will also do the ground inspection by visiting the house site of beneficiary.
• List of Finally Selected Beneficiary for Subsidy on Electricity Bill under Ped Lagao Free Bijli Pao Yojana will then forward to the Electricity Department for further approval.
• Electricity Department will then generate the Subsidised Electricity Bill after deducting the subsidy unit according to the trees planted by beneficiary.
• Beneficiary can also check the Application Status of Jharkhand Ped Lagao Free Bijli Pao Yojana by visiting the Office of Urban Local Body Development and Municipal Corporation.
