Introduction
- Karnataka Samagra Mathru Arogya Palane Scheme is the major welfare scheme of Karnataka Government for the welfare of pregnant women and lactating mother.
- The main objective behind launching this scheme is to provide below mentioned facilities to pregnant women of state :-
- Free of Cost Delivery Services in Government and Private Hospitals.
- Financial Assistance to take care pre and post delivery expenses.
- Providing Madilu Kit consists 19 daily use items.
- Department of Health and Family Welfare is the nodal department of this scheme.
- Karnataka Samagra Mathru Arogya Palane Scheme has 4 important sub schemes :-
- Each sub scheme has its own benefits and are very beneficial to the pregnant and lactating mother of the State of Karnataka.
- Thayi Bhagya Scheme provides :-
- Free of Cost Delivery in Private or Government Hospital.

- Thayi Bhagya Plus Scheme provides financial assistance of Rs. 1000/- to those pregnant women who choose to deliver her baby in non empanelled private hospitals.
- Prasoothi Araike Scheme provides :-
- Financial Assistance of Rs. 3,000/- to SC and ST Lactating Mother.
- Financial Assistance of Rs. 2,000/- to BPL Category Lactating Mother.
- And in Madilu Kit Scheme, a kit of 19 daily use items costing around Rs. 1,500/- will be provided to women after delivering the child.

How to Apply
- There is no need to apply separately for Karnataka Samagra Mathru Arogya Palane Scheme.
- Beneficiaries can contact their area's ASHA Worker or Junior Female Health Officer.
- They can register the beneficiaries separately in each scheme.
- ASHA Worker or Junior Family Health Officer will registered the women and forwarded the application for further approval.
