Karnataka Self Employment Scheme

Introduction

• Karnataka Self Employment Scheme is the major welfare scheme of Karnataka Government.
• Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation Limited is the nodal department of this scheme.
• The main objective behind launching this scheme is to provide financial assistance to the people of Karnataka who are willing to start their new employment generation activity.
• The main focus of this scheme is to reduce the unemployment rate in the state by encouraging people to take part in self employment generation activity.
• Government of Karnataka will now provide a subsidy on the cost of starting a business activity under its Self Employment Scheme.
• 33% Subsidy on the Cost of Project or Maximum of Rs. 1,00,000/- will be provided under Karnataka Self Employment Scheme to all eligible youths who are willing to start their start up of income generation business.
• But Self Employment Scheme of Karnataka Government is not open for everyone.
• Youth belongs to any of the minority community are eligible to apply for subsidy on project cost under Karnataka Self Employment Scheme :-
  • Muslims.
  • Christians.
  • Buddhism.
  • Sikhs.
  • Parsis.
  • Jains.
• Nationalised/ Scheduled Banks will provide loan to beneficiary if needed for their remaining capital.
• The following income generation activity are eligible to get loan and subsidy under Karnataka Self Employment Scheme :-
  • Starting or Developing New Business.
  • Small Scale Industries.
  • Service Sector.
  • Agro Based Activities.
  • Any Other Self Employment Generation Activity.
• Eligible Beneficiary can apply by filling Self Employment Scheme Online Application Form which is available on Karnataka Online Application Management System Portal.

Benefits

• The below mentioned benefits will be provided to all eligible beneficiaries under Karnataka Self Employment Scheme :-
  • Subsidy will be Provided on the Project Cost of Starting a Business.
  • 33% Subsidy on Project Cost. OR
  • Maximum Subsidy of Rs. 1,00,000/- on Project Cost.

Eligibility

• Applicant should be Residents of Karnataka.
• The Age of Applicant should be between 18 Years to 55 Years.
• The Annual Family Income of Applicant should be :-
  • Rs. 81,000/- in Rural Area.
  • Rs. 1,03,000/- in Urban Area.
• Applicant should belong to any of the following minority community :-
  • Muslims.
  • Sikhs.
  • Parsis.
  • Jains.
  • Christians.
  • Buddhism.

• The below mentioned documents is required at the time of applying for subsidy on project cost under Self Employment Scheme of Karnataka Government :-
  • Residence Proof of Karnataka.
  • Caste Certificate.
  • Income Certificate.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Project Report.
  • Passport Size Photo.

How to Apply

• Eligible Beneficiary can apply for Self Employment Scheme of Karnataka Government by filling Online Application Form.
• Online Application Form of Karnataka Self Employment Scheme is available on Karnataka Online Application Management System Portal.
• Enter your mobile number and verify the OTP to login.
• Fill the following details in the Karnataka Self Employment Online Application Form :-
  • Personal Details.
  • Contact Details.
  • Project Details.
• Upload the required documents on the portal.
• Once you click on submit button, the Application Form of Self Employment Scheme will be submitted.
• The application form and all the documents will be sent to selection panel for further consideration.
• List of Selected Beneficiary will be prepared and beneficiary will be informed through SMS or Email.
