Introduction

  • Karnataka Shakti Scheme is flagship scheme of Government of Karnataka.
  • It was launched in the year 2023.
  • The main objective behind launching Shakti Scheme is to empower women financially by providing them free of cost bus service.
  • Under Karnataka Shakti Scheme, Free of Cost Bus Ride across Karnataka will be provided to all women beneficiary of Karnataka State.
  • Free of Cost Bus Service under Shakti Scheme will only provide in the below mentioned transport corporation buses :-
    • Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation. (KSRTC)
    • Bangalore Maha Nagar Transport Corporation. (BMNTC)
    • North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation. (NWKRTC)
    • Kalyan Karnataka Road Transport Corporation. (KKRTC)
  • Free Travel from one place to another place is only applicable within the boundary of Karnataka State.
  • Women Beneficiary can avail the free of cost ride under Shakti Scheme only in Ordinary, Urban Transport, Express and Regular Transport Buses.
  • No Free of Cost Bus Service will be provided to women beneficiary in AC, AC Sleeper, Non AC Sleeper,or any luxury bus.
  • Women Beneficiary can travel anywhere from one place to other, there is no minimum kilometer limit applicable.
  • Smart Card is mandatorily needed to avail the benefit of free of cost bus ride under Shakti Scheme.
  • Women Beneficiary can apply for Smart Card under Shakti Scheme for free bus ride by filling Online Application Form.
  • Online Application Form for Smart Card under Shakti Scheme is available on Karnataka Seva Sindhu Portal.
  • Till the women beneficiary received their Smart Card, they can show any below mentioned photographed identity card in bus to avail free of cost bus ride :-
    • Aadhar Card.
    • Driving License.
    • Voter Identity Card.
    • Or Any Other Photographed Identity card.
  • Zero Sum Tickets will be provide to women beneficiary at the time of travelling.
  • It is to be estimated that around more than 41 lakh women will get benefit under Karnataka Shakti Scheme.
  • Women Beneficiary can travel free of cost in 6,308 City Buses, 5,958 Ordinary Buses, and 6,343 Express Buses.
  • Application for Obtaining Smart Card under Shakti Scheme will be open from June 15th 2023.
  • Smart Card under Shakti Scheme will be obtained by applying Online on Seva Sindhu Portal.

Karnataka Shakti Scheme Benefits.

Eligibility

  • Beneficiary should be a Permanent Resident of Karnataka.
  • Beneficiary should be a Women. (Including Girls Age from 6 to 12)

Documents Required

  • The following documents will be required to avail the benefit of Free Bus Service till issuing of Smart Card under Karnataka Shakti Scheme :-
    • Aadhar Card OR,
    • Voter Identity Card OR
    • Any Photo Identity Card.

How to Apply for Smart Card under Shakti Scheme

  • Eligible Women Beneficiary can apply for Smart Card for Free Bus Ride under Karanataka Shakti Scheme by filling the Online Application Form.
  • Online Application Form for Shakti Scheme Smart Card is available on Seva Sindhu Portal
  • Women Beneficiary has to Register themselves first.
  • After Registration, Login on the same portal.
  • Fill the Application Form of Shakti Scheme Smart Card and upload the required documents.
  • Application Form will be verified by the concerned officials.
  • After due verification smart card for free bus ride will be provided to every women beneficiary of Karnataka State.
  • Women beneficiary can avail the free of cost bus service till she get smart card by showing any photo identity proof.
  • Free of Cost Bus Service will only provided within the State boundary of Karnataka.
  • Women Beneficiary can only avail the benefit of Free Bus Service in Government of Karnataka Run Buses.

The blame games are very heavy on all channels but, which link is the genuine link for these Shakti Scheme, Griha(Gruha) Lakshmi, Griha(Gruha) Jyothi etc., schemes??? none of the www.sevasindhu.gov.in weblinks are working properly. When we follow the link, under the services offered by govt. SS,GLS,GJS are not showing up in the website. Not able to even see the application forms as well. Once we register with our Adhaar card, further there is no login page to proceed further. Where do we go and apply for the same physically, please let us know.

All fake . Your adhar card should have ur name in Kannada and not in any other language . Else they won’t accept even if u have karnatak address on it or even if u have voted for congress .

Restrict this service for other state citizen who have changed the adhar card address to Karnataka.

Myself smt Latha MK resident of Maddie bearing aadhar mum 4251298714xx ,while travelling from Bengaluru to Maddur ,to avail the benefit of free bus scheme I was denied the benefit just I could not show hard copy but I produced the copy in my mobile.kindly clarify and opine.

From Bagalkote to Hubli bus conductor wants actual ID car (physical) he’s not ready give ticket in Shakti yojane as showed by in mobile! ..

we are giving full amount of tickets (avrsa to karwar) but bus conductor are not giving tickets, instead of generating fake tickets like 0 rupees tickets and throwing.
Then we asking about that the conductor behaved like rudely.
