About The Scheme

• From 1st August 2017, WCD Dept. Govt. of Maharashtra has started implementation of Majhi Kanya Bhagyashree.
• Women And Child Development Department, Maharashtra is the nodal department of this scheme.
• From the name of My Kanya Bhagyashree Yojana, this scheme seems to be related to the girl child.
• There is still a situation in the country where girls are killed for pride, or married off early. 
• In order to change this attitude of the society, the Maharashtra government has decided to sterilize families in the state after having one or two daughters.
• The following benefits are provided under the Maharashtra Manjhi Kanya Bhagyashree Scheme :-
  • One Girl Child: Rs.50,000 for a period of 18 years.
  • Two Girl Children: Rs. 25,000 each on the name of both the Girls.
  • The families can withdraw accumulated interest after every six years.
• The following persons will be eligible under the Maharashtra Manjhi Kanya Bhagyashree Scheme :-
  • Permanent Resident of Mahrashtra.
  • Girl children born after 1st August 2017.
  • Having annual income upto 7.5 Lakhs
  • After submission of Family Planning Certificate.
• Eligible Persons Can Avail the benefits of Manjhi Kanya Bhagyashree Scheme by applying in the following manner:-
  • Through Offline Application Form.

Benefits

• The following benefits are provided under the Maharashtra Manjhi Kanya Bhagyashree Scheme :-

Eligibility

• The following persons will be eligible under the Maharashtra Manjhi Kanya Bhagyashree Scheme :-
  • Permanent Resident of Mahrashtra.
  • Girl children born after 1st August 2017.
  • Having annual income upto 7.5 Lakhs
  • After submission of Family Planning Certificate.

Documents Required

• Below is the list of documents that would be required at the time of registration under the scheme :-
  • Aadhaar Card.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Address proof.
  • Income certificate.
  • Passport size photo.

Application Process

• Eligible Person can apply in their  nearest Angandwadi Center.
• Ask for the application form from Angandwadi worker.
• Fill this application form by entering all the required information.
• After that, attach all the required documents.
• After filling all the information, the application form has to be submitted.
• After the application is submitted, the application form will be verified by the concerned officer.
• After the approval of the application form, the amount will be transferred to the applicant's bank account.
