Maharashtra Mukhya Mantri Baliraja Vij Savlat Yojana

Introduction

• With an objective to increase the income of farmers of Maharashtra, Government announced Mukhyamantri Baliraja Vij Savlat Yojana at the time of presenting the supplementary budget on 28-06-2024.
• The nodal department of this scheme is Agriculture Department of Maharashtra Government.
• Whereas the implementing agency of this scheme is Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MAHAVITARAN).
• This scheme is going to be known by some other names which are "Mukhyamantri Baliraja Mufat Vij Yojana" or "Maharashtra Chief Minister Baliraja Free Electricity Scheme for Farmers" or "Chief Minister Baliraja Vij Savlat Yojana".
• Free of cost electricity will be provided to all farmers of Maharashtra under this scheme.
• Free Electricity provided under Mukhya Mantri Baliraja Vij Savlat Yojana will only applicable for Agricultural Use.
• Farmers who use Agricultural Water Pumps up to the capacity of 7.5 Horse Power are eligible to avail the benefit of Free Electricity Scheme of Maharashtra Government.
• Zero amount electricity bill will be issued by Mahavitaran Company Limited in favour of all the eligible farmers.
• Mukhya Mantri Baliraja Vij Savlat Yojana is going to implement for a period of 5 years that is from April 2024 to March 2029.
• However, Government will review this scheme after 3 years and then take final decision to implement it further.
• Electricity Bill of 3 months i.e. from April to June will also waived off by Maharashtra Government under Mukhya Mantri Baliraja Vij Savlat Yojana.
• Almost 44.06 lakh farmers will get the benefit Mukhyamantri Baliraja Muft Vij Yojana in which zero amount electricity bill will be issued to Farmers who use Agricultural Water Pumps.
• Rs. 14,761/- crore budget is allocated for the better implementation of this scheme.
• Farmers can apply for electricity subsidy provided under Mukhya Mantri Baliraja Vij Savlat Yojana by filling the Application Form.
• Application Form is available in the office of Mahavitaran Company Limited.
• Zero Amount Electricity Bill under Mukhya Mantri Baliraja Vij Savlat Yojana will be issued from July 2024 to eligible farmers.

Benefits of Scheme

• Government of Maharashtra will provide the following benefits to all eligible farmers under Mukhya Mantri Baliraja Vij Savlat Yojana :-
  • Free of Cost Electricity for Agricultural Water Pump Use will be Provided
  • Farmers who is using Water Pump up to 7.5 HP will not need to pay any Electricity Bill.

Eligibility Criteria

• Benefit of Free of Cost Electricity for the use of Agricultural Water Pump will only provided to those farmers who fulfil the following eligibility conditions of Mukhya Mantri Baliraja Vij Savlat Yojana :-
  • Farmers are Eligible to Apply.
  • Only Permanent Resident of Maharashtra Farmers are Eligible.
  • Farmer should have Agricultural Water Pump of up to 7.5 HP in his Agricultural Field.
  • Electricity Connection of Mahavitaran Company are Eligible for Waive Off.

Documents Required

• Documents that are required to be attached with Mukhya Mantri Baliraja Vij Savlat Yojana Application Form at the time of applying are as follows :-
  • Farmer Aadhar Card.
  • Electricity Connection Number.
  • Electricity Pump Photo.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Electricity Bill. (Latest)
  • Passport Size Photo.

How to Apply

• To apply for free electricity for the use of Agriculture Pumps under Mukhyamantri Baliraja Vij Savlat Yojana, Beneficiary Farmers can apply through Application Form.
• Farmers can collect Mukhya Mantri Baliraja Vij Savlat Yojana Application Form free of cost at any Zonal or District Office of MAHAVITARAN Company Limited.
• Fill the Application Form Correctly and attach all the documents.
• Submit the Application Form of Mukhya Mantri Baliraja Vij Savlat Yojana with all the documents in the same office from where it was taken.
• Mahavitaran Company Limited Officials will scrutinised the received Application Form and Documents.
• Farmers who used up to 7.5 HP agricultural water pump will be sorted out and list will be made.
• Electricity Bill of 3 months from April to June will also waived off by Mahavitaran Company Limited.
• From Julu onwards every farmers who are using agricultural water pump up to 7.5 HP will get zero amount electricity bill under Mukhya Mantri Baliraja Vij Savlat Yojana.
• Mukhya Mantri Baliraja Vij Savlat Yojana covers the electricity bill of farmers from April 2024.
