Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana

Introduction

• Indian Government has sets the target to achieve net zero carbon emission by the year 2070.
• Apart from that, Indian Government will also achieve its target to produce non fossil fuel energy up to 500 Gigawatt by the year 2030.
• Also by the year 2030, the Government of India aims is to reduce its carbon emission by 1 billion ton, reduce the intensity of carbon by 45 percent and meet half of its energy requirement through renewable energy.
• To achieve the above mentioned targets before time in view of the benefit of environment, Indian Government sets to start new scheme for the people of India.
• While returning from Ayodhyadhaam after attending the Pran Pratistha ceremony of Shri Ramlala, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi announced this scheme on his X account and doubles the happiness of people of India.
• The name of scheme is going to be "Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana".
• This scheme is also going to be known in all over India by some other major names such as :-
  • "Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Scheme".
  • "PM Suryodaya Scheme".
  • "Prime Minister Suryodaya Scheme".
  • "PM Suryodaya Yojana".
• The main objective of Indian Government behind launching Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana is to reduce the electricity bill of people belongs to poor and middle class family and make them self reliant for their electricity needs.
• PM Suryodaya Yojana will also make India a self reliant country in the sector of energy.
• Rooftop Solar Electricity Systems will be installed on the terrace/ roof of beneficiaries house under Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana.
• This installed Solar Rooftop Electricity System will provide the required electricity to beneficiaries house by converting sun light into electricity.
• This will surely reduce the electricity bill of beneficiaries.
• It is to be expected that, 300 Units of free electricity will be provided to each beneficiary under PM Suryodaya Yojana.
• Indian Government will implement Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana in phased manner.
• Approximately 1 Crore Houses will gets its own electricity system by installing solar rooftop systems on their terrace under Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana.
• Those beneficiaries are not eligible to avail the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana whose annual income is more than Rs. 1,50,000/- per year.
• Right now it is not clear whether the rooftop solar system under PM Suryodaya Scheme will be provided free of cost or on a subsidized price.
• Benefits of Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana will only provide to poor and middle class people of India.
• This is the only information available about PM Suryodaya Yojana right now.
• Very soon the Official Guidelines of Scheme will be released by the concerned ministry.
• Remaining Benefits, Eligibility Conditions, Application Form and Apply Procedure will be released with the guidelines.
• We will update the same as soon as we get any update about Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana.

Benefits of Scheme

• Indian Government will provide the following benefits to people of India under it's newly announced Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana :-
  • Rooftop Electric Solar Systems will be installed on roofs.
  • This Setup will Reduce the Electricity Bill of Beneficiary.
  • Free Electricity of 300 Units per Month will be Provided.
  • Rooftop Solar Electricity Systems will be provided free of cost or on Subsidy.
  • Other Benefits will be available after the official launch of scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

• Free of Cost Rooftop Solar Electric System on the terrace will only be installed on those beneficiaries house who fulfil the below mentioned eligibility conditions of Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana :-
  • Beneficiary should be a Indian Resident.
  • Beneficiary should be belong to Poor and Middle Class Family.
  • The Annual Family Income of Beneficiary should not be more than Rs. 1,50,000/- per year.
  • Beneficiary should have his/ her own house.
  • There should be a enough space on the terrace of house to install solar rooftop system.
  • Income Criteria with other Eligibility Conditions will be released with official guidelines.

Documents Required

• Documents that are required at the time of applying for installing solar rooftop electricity system under Indian Government's Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana are as follows :-
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Documents related to House.
  • Income Certificate.
  • Caste Certificate. (If Applicable)

How to Apply

• Prime Minister of India Sh. Narendra Modi announced to start "Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana" while returning from Ayodhyadhaam after attending the Pran Pratistha ceremony of Shri Ramlala.
• Electric Rooftop Solar Systems will be installed on the terrace of approximately 1 crore people under Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana.
• Objective of this scheme is to minimise the electricity bill of poor and middle class people of India.
• Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana has just been announced by Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
• So, right now the Application Procedure of Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana is not clear yet whether it is through Online channel or through Offline channel.
• It totally depends on Government of India to accept the Application Form of Pradhanamantri Suryodaya Yojana through Online Application Form or through Offline Application Form.
• Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana Application Form and Application Process will be released with its Official Guidelines.
• Indian Government's concerned Ministry will very soon released the Official Guidelines of Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana.
