Introduction

• Bhartiye Janta Party led Rajasthan Government presents its first budget of the year 2024-2025 after winning the assembly elections.
• Finance Minister of Rajasthan Government Smt. Diya Kumari announced lots of welfare scheme for the people of Rajasthan while presenting the budget.
• Smt. Diya Kumari in her budget speech said that the income in rural area of Rajasthan is still depends on agricultural and milk production activity.
• Families involves in milk production activity has faced lots of difficulties in case of illness of animals, non availability of sheds/ shelters, and unavailability of fodder.
• Keeping these difficulties of Cattle/ Dairy Owners of Rajasthan in mind, a new scheme will going to be launched for their support.
• This scheme is being started on the lines of Kisan Credit Card Scheme of Government of India.
• The name of scheme will be "Gopal Credit Card Scheme".
• Directorate of Gopalan of Rajasthan Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• The main objective behind starting Gopal Credit Card Scheme is to support dairy/ cattle owners financially who involves in milk production activity.
• This scheme is going to be called as "Rajasthan Gopal Credit Card Yojana" after its implementation.
• Rajasthan Government will now provide short term loans to cattle/ dairy owners under Gopal Credit Card Scheme.
• Loan provided under Gopal Credit Card Scheme will be interest free.
• No Interest will be paid by the Cattle/ Dairy Owners on the loan taken under this scheme.
• Apart from interest free loan, there will be no collateral security is required at the time of availing the loan.
• Beneficiary Cattle/ Dairy Owners can avail the loan up to Rs. 1,00,000/- under Gopal Credit Card Scheme.
• Interest Free Loan provided under Rajasthan Gopal Credit Card Scheme can be used by the beneficiary to complete the following works :-
  • To Construct Shelter/ Shed for Milch Animals.
  • To Construct Kheli for Distribution of Fodder.
  • To Purchase Equipment related to Milk Production.
  • To Purchase Fodder Harvesting Machinery.
• By completing above mentioned milk production related activities, Beneficiary Cattle/ Dairy Owners can increase the milk production and increase their income as well.
• Loan provided under Gopal Credit Card Scheme is a Short Term Basis Loan.
• This scheme will be implemented in Rajasthan in phased manner.
• More than 5 Lakh Cattle/ Dairy Owners Families will get the benefit of interest free and collateral free loan under Gopal Credit Card Scheme of Rajasthan Government.
• Rs. 150/- Crore has sanctioned for proper implementation of Gopal Credit Card Scheme in Rajasthan.
• Gopal Credit Card will be provided to all selected cattle/ dairy owners under Gopal Credit Card Scheme.
• But eligible beneficiaries will have to wait little bit more in order to avail the short term interest free loan under Rajasthan Gopal Credit Card Scheme.

Benefits of Scheme

• Rajasthan Government will provide the following benefits to all eligible dairy/ cattle owners under its new Gopal Credit Card Scheme :-
  • Collateral Free Loan for Milk Business will be Provided.
  • Beneficiary can take Loan up to Rs. 1,00,000/-.
  • Loan are Interest Free, No Interest will be Payable on the Loan.
  • Interest Free Loan will be provided on Short Term Basis.

Eligibility Criteria

• Short Term Interest Free Loan under Rajasthan Gopal Credit Card Scheme will be provided to only those Cattle/ Dairy Owners who fulfil the below mentioned eligibility conditions :-
  • Only Residents of Rajasthan are eligible to apply.
  • Beneficiary should be a Cattle/ Dairy Owner and have a business of Milk Production.
  • Dairy/ Cattle Owner should have an appropriate number of milch animals.
  • Remaining Eligibility Conditions will be released soon.

Documents Required

• Following Document will be mandatorily required at the time of applying for interest free loan of Rs. 1 lakh under Gopal Credit Card Scheme of Rajasthan Government :-
  • Residence Proof of Rajasthan.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Gaushala Registration Number.
  • Income Certificate.

How to Apply

• Finance Minister of Rajasthan Smt. Diya Kumari while presenting the budget of year 2024-2025 announced to start Gopal Credit Card Scheme in the State.
• Gopal Credit Card Scheme will start in Rajasthan with an objective to provide financial support to those families who are indulge in a business of milk production.
• This scheme will implement in entire Rajasthan from the coming financial year in a phased manner.
• It is to be expected that more than 5 lakh cattle/ dairy owner families will get the benefit of Gopal Credit Card Scheme.
• As per the available information the Application Process of Rajasthan Gopal Credit Card Scheme is not clear yet.
• Very soon the Directorate of Gopalan will release the Guidelines of Gopal Credit Card Scheme.
• It depends of the government to accept application in Gopal Credit Card Scheme through Online Application Form or through Offline Application Form.
• Gopal Credit Card Scheme Website will be made if the application process is online.
• Dairy/ Cattle Owner Families will have to wait little bit more in order to avail the benefit of interest free loan under Gopal Credit Card Scheme.
