Introduction

• Rajasthan Government implemented lots of welfare scheme in the State.
• All the factions of society is taking benefit of these scheme.
• One faction of society i.e. Senior Citizen has their heart's desire to visit the famous pilgrimage sites.
• So Government of Rajasthan started Senior Citizen Tirth Yatra Yojana to fulfill the desire of old age people of Rajasthan to visit pilgrimage site within or outside India..
• This Scheme is also called "Rajasthan Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Site Visit Scheme" or "Rajasthan Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Site Darshan Yojana".
• The main objective behind starting this scheme is to provide free of cost pilgrimage tours of their choice to senior citizen of Rajasthan.
• Under Rajasthan Senior Citizen Tirth Yatra Yojana, free of cost pilgrimage tours will be provided to eligible senior citizens.
• All the expenses incurred on pilgrimage tour will be borne by Government of Rajasthan.
• There is no need to pay any amount by senior citizen of Rajasthan.
• Below mentioned benefits will be covered under Rajasthan Senior Citizen Tirth Yatra Yojana :-
  • Free of Cost Accommodation.
  • Free Food Facility.
  • Travelling Expenses will be borne by Government.
• Every year around 40,000/- senior citizen will be selected through lottery system for pilgrimage tours.
• Out of 40,000/- beneficiary, 36,000/- will go by train and 4,000/- will go by airplane to their pilgrimage sites.
• Senior Citizens of above 60 years of age are eligible for free of cost pilgrimage tour under Rajasthan Senior Citizen Tirth Yatra Yojana.
• Senior Citizen will go in different different groups and one government official will also go with them for assistance.
• Eigible Beneficiary can apply for free pilgrimage tour through Online Application Form.
• Online Application Form of Rajasthan Senior Citizen Tirth Yatra Yojana is available on Department of Devasthan Portal.

Benefits of Scheme

• The following benefits will be provided to Eligible Senior Citizens of Rajasthan under Rajasthan Senior Citizen Tirth Yatra Yojana :-

  Free of Cost Pilgrimage Site Visit located Inside or Outside India. The following benefits will be provided free of cost to eligible beneficiary :- Free of Cost Accommodation. Free of Cost Food. All Travelling Expenses Paid by Government. Any Other Expense Incurred while visiting Pilgrimage Site.

1. Through Railways :-

   Rameshwaram - Madurai. Jagannnatpuri. Tirupati. Dwarkapuri - Somnath. Vaishnodevi - Amritsar. Prayagraj - Varanasi. Mathura - Vrindavan - Barsana. Sammedshikhar - Pawapuri - Baidhyanath. Ujjain - Omkareshvar - Trayambakeshwar. (Nasik) Gangsagar. (Kolkata) Kamakhya. (Guwahati) Haridwar - Rishikesh - Ayodhya. Bihar Shareef. Velnakani Church. (Tamil Nadu)

2. Through Airplane :-

   Pashupatinath - Kathmandu. (Nepal)

Eligibility

• Beneficiary should be a Permanent Resident of Rajasthan.
• Beneficiary should be a Senior Citizen.
• The Age of Beneficiary should be above 60 Years.
• Beneficiary should not be a Income Tax Payee.
• Beneficiary should have had both the dosage of COVID - 19 Vaccine.

• The below documents will be required to avail the benefit of free pilgrimage site visit under Rajasthan Senior Citizen Tirth Yatra Yojana :-
  • Residence Proof of Rajasthan.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Jan-Aadhar Card.
  • Medical Certificate.
  • Mobile Number.
  • COVID - 19 Vaccine Dosage Certification.

How to Apply

• Eligible Senior Citizen can apply for free of cost pilgrimage site visit by filling Online Application Form of Rajasthan Senior Citizen Tirth Yatra Yojana.
• The Application Form of Senior Citizen Tirth Yatra Yojana is available at Department of Devasthan Portal of Rajasthan Government.
• Beneficiary has to Register themselves for Tirth Yatra Yojana.
• Fill the Personal Details, Contact Details and Pilgrimage Site (Tirth Sthal) Detail in the Registration Form of Senior Citizen Tirth Yatra Yojana.
• Upload all the required documents on the portal.
• Preview the Registration Form and Click on Submit Button to Submit it.
• Beneficiaries will be selected for pilgrimage site visit through lottery system.
• Total 40,000 Senior Citizen will be selected out of which 36,000 beneficiary will go by Railways and 4,000 beneficiary will go by Airways.
• Beneficiaries will go in group for pilgrimage site visit.
• Selected Beneficiary will be notified through SMS.
