Overview Of The Scheme
Name of the Scheme Telangana 2BHK Housing Scheme.
Launched on October 2015.
Objective To Provide dignity to the poor by providing 2BHK House free of cost.
Benefit 2 Bedroom, Hall, Kitchen House Free of Cost.
Nodal Department Telangana State Housing Corporation Limited.
Mode of Apply Offline through Application Form.

Introduction

  • 2BHK Housing proggramme or 2BHK Housing scheme is one of the important scheme of Telangana Government for the poor people.
  • It was started in the month of October 2015.
  • This scheme is also called "Telangana 2BHK Housing Programme".
  • The main objective behind starting this scheme is to provide free of cost house to homeless and poor people of Telangana State.
  • The Telangana State Housing Corporation Limited is the nodal agency of this scheme.
  • In this scheme, a well constructed 2 Bedroom, Hall, Kitchen house will be provided by the Government of Telangana to the poor and homeless people of the State.
  • All the people who are living in Huts, Katcha Houses or in a Rented Houses are eligible to avail the benefit of this scheme.
  • These houses will be given free of cost, the beneficiary does not need to take loan or contribute any amount.
  • It is a fully subsidized scheme.
  • Initially it has been decided by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation to construct 2.80 lakh houses in the State.

  • BPL Families.
  • Families having Food Security Card.
  • Families living in below mentioned type of houses :-
    • Huts.
    • Katcha Houses.
    • Rented Houses.
  • Families belonging to below mentioned categories :-
    • Schedule Caste (SC).
    • Schedule Tribe (ST).
    • Minorities.

  • Aadhar Card.
  • Caste Certificate.
  • Income Certificate.
  • Disability Certificate. (In case of Disability)
  • Ex-servicemen Card. (In case of Ex-servicemen)

Allocation Percentage of Houses

The constructed houses will allotted to the eligible families in the following percentage :-

How to Apply

  • The villages and the beneficiary will be selected by the District Level Committee.
  • Eligible family can apply through application form to avail the benefit in their Gram Sabha Office.
  • The preliminary scrutiny of the applications received will be done by the Gram Sabha Officer.
  • Then the applications will be forwarded to Tehsildar for thorough verification.
  • The list of all eligible beneficiaries will be sent to the District Collector after thorough scrutiny by the Tehsildar.
  • The list of verified families will again be placed in the Gram Sabha for final approval as per the schedule.
  • After the list is verified by the Gram Sabha, the District Collector will approved the list and the list will be made available to the public.
  • As the houses get built, they will be allotted to the eligible families in the list.

Feature of the Scheme

  • The plot area in which the house will be built will be of 125 Square Yards.
  • The constructed area after construction will be 560 Sqaure Feet.
  • The total cost of construction with infrastructure in Rural Area is Rs. 6,29,000/- and in Urban Area is :- 6,05,000/-.
  • Infrastructure includes :-
    • Water Supply.
    • Electricity.
    • Approach and Internal Roads.
    • Drains.
    • Sewage.
  • Any complaints regarding the beneficiary selection process will be enquired by the District Level Officer nominated by the District Collector.
