Introduction

• Election Result of Telangana Legislative Election is announced on 3rd of December 2023.
• Congress Party win the Telangana Election and formed a new government.
• Congress Party had make a promise to the Women of Telangana to start Mahalakshmi Scheme in the Telangana State if wins election and forms a new Government.
• This is same guarantee of Congress Party as they announces at the time of Karnataka Elecitons.
• Now, Congress Party fulfilling its promise of Mahalakshmi Scheme by implementing it.
• This scheme is also going to be called by some other names also like "Telangana Mahalakshmi Yojana" or "Telangana Mahalaxmi Scheme".
• Mahalakshmi Scheme of Telangana Government basically a combination of 3 welfare schemes which are :-
  • "Telangana Mahalakshmi Financial Assistance Scheme".
  • "Telangana Mahalakshmi Free Bus Travel Scheme".
  • "Telangana Mahalakshmi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme"
• Under Telangana Mahalakshmi Scheme, Congress Party will provide lots of benefit to Women of Telangana State.
• Monthly Financial Assistance of Rs. 2,500/- per Month will be provided to all eligible women under Telangana Mahalakshmi Financial Assistance Scheme.
• Married, Divorced and Widow Women are expected to be the main beneficiary of Mahalakshmi Financial Assistance Scheme of Telangana Government.
• Apart from this Monthly Financial Assistance, 1 Gas Cylinder per Month at the cost of Rs. 500/- will also provided to Women Beneficiary under Telangana Mahalakshmi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme.
• Gas Cylinder at Rs. 500/- under Mahalakshmi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme will be provided to all women beneficiary who has a valid domestic gas connection in her name.
• Women Beneficiary can also travel free of cost in Telangana State Run Buses under Telangana Mahalakshmi Free Bus Travel Scheme.
• Telangana Mahalakshmi Free Bus Travel Scheme is launched on 9th of December 2023.
• Now Women, Girls and Trangenders of Telangana can travel free of cost in TSRTC Buses within the boundary of Telangana State.
• Conductor will issue Zero Ticket to beneficiaries under Telangana Mahalakshmi Free Bus Travel Scheme.
• Women Beneficiary will have to show only a Valid Identity Proof of Telangana to Travel Free of Cost in TSRTC Buses.
• Free of Cost Bus Travel will only applicable within the state boundary of Telangana and in Telangana State Road Transport Corporation Buses.
• Decision to implement Mahalakshmi Scheme was taken in a very first cabinet meeting of newly formed Congress Party's Telangana Government which was held on 8th of December 2023.
• Now, Beneficiary Women can also apply for Monthly Financial Assistance and Subsidy on Gas Cylinder under Telangana Mahalakshmi Scheme.
• Application Form of Mahalakshmi Scheme is released by the Government of Telangana.
• Collect the Application Form of Telangana Mahalakshmi Scheme from Gram Panchayat/ Gram Sabha/ Municipal Corporation Office from 28-12-2023 to 06-01-2024.

Benefits of Scheme

• Newly Formed Congress Party Government in Telangana State will provide the following benefits to beneficiaries women under Telangana Mahalakshmi Scheme :-
  • Financial Assistance of Rs. 2,500/- per Month will be Provided to All Eligible Women Beneficiary.
  • 1 Gas Cylinder per Month at a Cost of Rs. 500/- will be Provided.
  • Free of Cost Travel in TRTC Buses Across Telangana.

Eligibility

• Newly formed Government of Telangana sets the following Eligibility Conditions for the beneficiaries in order to provide them a benefit of Mahalakshmi Scheme :-
  • Beneficiary Women should be a Resident of Telangana.
  • Beneficiary Women should have a Domestic Gas Connection. (For Gas Subsidy)
  • Beneficiary should have a Valid Identity Proof. (For Free Bus Travel)

• The below mentioned documents is needed at the time of applying for the benefit of Telangana Mahalakshmi Scheme :-
  • Residence Proof of Telangana.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Ration Card.
  • Passport Size Photo.
  • Domestic Gas Connection Receipt. (For Gas Subsidy)

How to Apply

• As we all know that Congress Party wins the Legislative Assembly Election of Telangana.

• On 8th of December 2023, Congress Party Government gave approval to implement Telangana Mahalakshmi Scheme as they promised at the time election.
• Currently Beneficiaries can avail the benefit of Mahalakshmi Free of Cost Bus Travel Scheme by travelling free in TSRTC Buses.
• For Mahalakshmi Financial Assistance Scheme and Mahalakshmi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme, the wait of Beneficiary Women is over.
• Government of Telangana released the Application Form of Telangana Mahalakshmi Scheme.

• Fill the below mentioned details in Telangana Mahalakshmi Scheme Application Form :-
  • Name.
  • Caste.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Family Member Details.
  • Permanent Address.
  • Bank Account Details.
• Tick on Telangana Mahalakshmi Financial Assistance Scheme and Telangana Mahalakshmi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme.
• Attach all the required documents with the Application Form.
• Now, Submit Mahalakshmi Scheme Application Form with all the documents in Gram Sabha Office/ Gram Panchayat Office/ Municipal Corporation Office.
• Concerned Officials will scrutinized the Mahalakshmi Scheme Application Form and documents.
• Then the Eligible Beneficiary List of Telangana Mahalakshm Scheme will be made by the Officials.
• Selected Beneficiary will get the Financial Assistance of Rs. 2,500/- and Subsidy on Gas Cylinder under Mahalakshmi Scheme in their given bank account.
