Uttarakhand Roof Top Gardening Scheme

Introduction

• Uttarakhand Roof Top Gardening Scheme is the flagship scheme of Uttarakhand Government.
• It was launched on 15th of January 2023.
• Department of Horticulture and Food Processing of Uttarakhand Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• The main objective behind launching Roof Top Gardening Scheme is to promote terrace gardening among people.
• Under Uttarakhand Roof Top Gardening Scheme, Government of Uttarakhand will provide financial assistance of Rs. 25,000/- for roof top/ terrace gardening.
• Area of Applicant's Terrace should be minimum 300 Square Feet.
• Only those applicants are eligible to get financial assistance under Roof Top Gardening Scheme who has 300 Square Feet of Terrace Area.
• Financial Assistance will be provided to applicant in two phases :-
  • Rs. 5,000/- will be provided at the time of one day training .
  • Remaining Rs. 20,000/- will be provided after a period of 3 months.
• Concerned Department Official will inspect the terrace of applicant after 3 months.
• Remaining Amount will be released only after inspection.
• Eligible Applicant will apply for financial assistance under Uttarakhand Roof Top Gardening Scheme by visiting Directorate of Horticulture and Food Processing Portal.
• Online Registration of Uttarakhand Roof Top Gardening Scheme is started.
• Applicant can fill the Online Application Form of Uttarakhand Roof Top Gardening Scheme and avail the financial assistance.

Eligibility

• Applicant Should be a Resident of Uttarakhand.
• Applicant Should have minimum 300 Square Feet Terrace.

• Aadhar Card,
• Resident Proof of Municipal Area.
• Electricity Bill.
• Water Bill.
• Bank Account Details.
• Photo of Empty Terrace.
• No Objection Certificate. (If Applicant is a Tenant)

How to Apply

• Eligible Applicant can apply for financial assistance by filling Online Application Form of Uttarkhand Roof Top Gardening Scheme.
• Online Application Form of Uttarakhand Roof Top Gardening Scheme is available at Directorate of Horticulture and Food Processing Portal.
• Applicant has to Register themselves first.
• Below mentioned details is to be filled in the registration Form :-
  • Applicant Personal Information.
  • Applicant Bank Account Details.
• Below mentioned documents will be uploaded at the time of applying :-
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Residence Proof.
  • Electricity Bill.
  • Water Bill.
  • Copy of Bank Passbook.
  • Photo of Empty Terrace.
• Click on Submit Button.
• After registration, Login on the portal to complete the Application Form of Uttarakhand Roof Top Gardening Scheme.
• Fill the required details and submit the form.
• Applicant will be informed about the training procedure once there application is selected.
• It is mandatory to attend One Day Training Camp for Roof Top Gardening.

Features of Scheme

• It is mandatory have minimum 300 Square Feet of Terrace.
• One Day Roof Top Gardening Training will be provided to all eligible applicants.
• Tenants will also apply for financial assistance under Roof Top Gardening Scheme of Uttarakhand Government.
• No Objection Certificate from House Owner will be required at the time of applying.
• Initial Amount of Rs. 5,000/- will be provided to applicant at the time of one day training.
• Financial Assistance provided under Uttarakhand Roof Top Gardening Scheme will only be used to grow/ cultivate vegetables.
