Uttarakhand Scholarship Scheme

Introduction

• Uttarakhand Scholarship Scheme is an important initiative of the Government of Uttarakhand for the students of the State.
• This scheme was announced by the government on 18 February 2023.
• This scheme is being started on the instructions of the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami.
• Education Department of Uttarakhand Government will be the nodal department of this scheme.
• The main objective of the Uttarakhand Scholarship Scheme is to encourage the meritorious students of the State for higher education by providing financial assistance.
• Under the Uttarakhand Scholarship Scheme, the government will give financial assistance every month to the meritorious students of the State.
• Students studying in Class 6th to Class 12th in Government School will be eligible under the scheme.
• The following scholarship per month will be provided to the eligible students under the Uttarakhand Scholarship Scheme :-
  • Rs. 600/- per month to Class 6th Students.
  • Rs. 700/- per month to Class 7th Students.
  • Rs. 800/- per month to Class 8th Students.
  • Rs. 900/- per month to Class 9th Students.
  • Rs. 2,000/- per month to Class 10th Students.
  • Rs. 2,500/- per month to Class 11th Students.
  • Rs. 3,000/- per month to Class 12th Students.
  • Rs. 3,000/- per month after 12th till Graduation.
• Selected Students in Class 6th will be given scholarship till Class 7th.
• Selected Students in Class 8th will be given Scholarship till Class 9th.
• Students selected in Class 10th will be given scholarship till Class 11th.
• And selected students in Class 12th will be given scholarship till they pass their graduation examination.
• Students will be selected for scholarship in two phases.
• The students of Class 6th and Class 8th will be selected through competitive examination.
• Scholarship will be given to the top 10 percent students who have passed the examination from each block.
• Students of Class 10th and Class 12th will be selected on the basis of merit list based on their board exam results.
• The proposal for Uttarakhand Scholarship Scheme has been prepared and sent to the Government by the Department of Education and final approval for this scheme will be given soon.
• The mode of application and guidelines will be issued soon by the concerned department.

Benefits of the Scheme

• The following Financial Assistance will be provided to the eligible students under the Uttarakhand Scholarship Scheme are :-

  Class 6th	Rs. 600/-
  Class 7th	Rs. 700/-
  Class 8th	Rs. 800/-
  Class 9th	Rs. 900/-
  Class 10th	Rs. 2,000/-
  Class 11th	Rs. 2,500/-
  Class 12th	Rs. 3,000/-

Eligibility

• Students of Uttarakhand.
• Student studies in any Government School of Uttarakhand.
• Student must be studying in any of the following class :-.
  • Class 6th.
  • Class 7th.
  • Class 8th.
  • Class 9th.
  • Class 10th.
  • Class 11th.
  • Class 12th.
