Introduction

  • Chaa Sundari Scheme is one of the major housing scheme of West Bengal Government.
  • It was launched on 17th of September 2020.
  • This scheme is specifically started to target the tea garden workers of West Bengal.
  • So, the main objective behind starting West Bengal Chaa Sundari Scheme is to provide housing assistance to all homeless and poor tea garden workers.
  • Department of Housing of West Bengal Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
  • More than 3 lakh permanent tea garden workers are working in the 370 tea gardens in West Bengal.
  • Most of them belongs to schedule tribe community and are very poor and does not have their own house.
  • Due to the poor economic condition, they are not capable to construct a house for themselves.
  • Government of West Bengal took an initiative to provide free of cost constructed house to homeless tea garden workers under Chaa Sundari Scheme.
  • A well constructed house will be provided to all eligible and homeless tea garden workers of West Bengal under Chaa Sundari Scheme.
  • House Constructed under Chaa Sundari Scheme have a plinth area of 394 Square Meters.
  • Each House Dwelling Unit consists :-
    • Two Rooms.
    • One Kitchen.
    • One Bathroom.
    • One Verandah.
  • Government of West Bengal will spend Rs. 5,43,000/- on each housing unit constructed under Chaa Sundari Scheme.
  • Free of Cost House will only provided to permanent tea garden workers who belongs to schedule tribe category.
  • Eligible Tea Garden Workers can apply for free of cost house under Chaa Sundari Scheme by applying through Offline Application Form.

Eligibility Criteria

  • West Bengal Government will provide free of cost houses to only those beneficiaries who fulfil the below mentioned eligibility conditions :-
    • Applicant should be a Permanent Resident of West Bengal.
    • Applicant should be a Permanent Tea Garden Worker.
    • Tea Garden Worker/ Family should be Homeless and Poor.

Documents Required

  • The following documents are needed at the time of applying for housing assistance under Chaa Sundari Scheme of West Bengal Government :-
    • Residence Proof of West Bengal.
    • Aadhar Card.
    • Tea Garden Worker Registration Number.
    • Mobile Number.

How to Apply

  • Eligible Tea Garden Workers can apply for constructed house under West Bengal Chaa Sundari Scheme through Application Form.
  • Application Form of Chaa Sundari Scheme is available free of cost at any Housing Department District Office.
  • Collect the Application Form and Fill it.
  • Attach all the required documents with the Application Form.
  • Submit West Bengal Chaa Sundari Scheme Application Form along with all the documents in the same office from where the application form was collected.
  • Received Application Forms and Documents will be scrutinised by the officials of housing department.
  • List of Selected Beneficiary will be then made by the officials.
  • Beneficiary Selected for House Allotment under Chaa Sundari Scheme will be informed through SMS on their Mobile Number.
  • House under Chaa Sundari Scheme will be allotted as per the availability in dwelling units constructed under this scheme.

As declared and decided by state Govt Jamin Patta with amount will be provided to all tea garden worker.
But still not distributed? When such facilities will be given to Tea Worker.
