Himachal Pradesh Transgender Pension Scheme

Introduction

• Transgenders are the most deprived people of the society.
• They do not have any stable monthly source of income and mostly rely on congratulatory monetary gifts.
• So with an objective to stablise their income and to make them socially and financially stable, Himachal Pradesh Government decided to start pension scheme for transgenders.
• The name of scheme will be "Himachal Pradesh Transgender Pension Scheme".
• This scheme is also called Himachal Pradesh Transgender Pension Yojana.
• Social Welfare and Empowerment Department of Himachal Pradesh Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• Himachal Pradesh Government will now provide monthly financial assistance as a pension to all eligible transgenders residing in State.
• Pension Amount to Transgenders under this Pension Scheme is vary according to the age of beneficiary.
• All Transgenders of Himachal Pradesh whose Age is 69 Years or Less will get Rs. 1,000/- per month pension under Transgender Pension Scheme of Himachal Pradesh.
• Whereas, All the Transgender Beneficiaries whose Age is 70 Years or more will get a monthly pension of Rs. 1,700/- under Himachal Pradesh Transgender Pension Scheme.
• There is no minimum or maximum limit of Age or Income is applicable.
• It is mandatory for Transgenders Beneficiary to get themselves certified from any District or State Medical Board and Submit the Transgender Certificate at the time of applying.
• There is no Online Application Form of Himachal Pradesh Transgender Pension Scheme is available right Now.
• Transgender Beneficiary can Fill the Offline Application Form and avail the benefit of monthly pension as promised by Himachal Pradesh Government under Transgender Pension Scheme.

Benefits

• Government of Himachal Pradesh will provide the following financial assistance as a per month pension to all eligible transgenders under Himachal Pradesh Government's Trnsgender Pension Scheme :-

  Beneficary Age	Pension Amount
  69 Year or Less	Rs. 1,000/- per Month.
  70 Years or More	Rs. 1,700/- per Month.

Eligibility

• Applicant should be a Permanent Resident of Himachal Pradesh.
• Applicant should be a Transgender.
• Applicant Transgender should be Certified from any of the Medical Board :-
  • District Level Medical Board.
  • State Level Medical Board.

Documents Required

• Following Documents are required at the time of applying for monthly pension under Himachal Pradesh Transgender Pension Scheme :-
  • Domicile or Residence Proof of Himachal Pradesh.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Passport Size Photo.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Transgender Certificate.
  • Self Declaration Form.
  • Email ID.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Age Proof.

How to Apply

• Eligible Transgender Beneficiary can apply for per month pension under Himachal Pradesh Transgender Pension Scheme through Offline Application Form.
• Application Form of Himachal Pradesh Transgender Pension Scheme is available free of cost at any of the below mentioned offices :-
  • District Tehsil Office.
  • District Welfare Officer Office.
• Collect the Transgender Pension Scheme Application Form and fill it correctly and carefully.
• Attach all the required documents with the application form.
• Now Submit the Himachal Pradesh Transgender Pension Scheme Application Form along with the Documents in the same office from where it was collected.
• Concerned Official will then verify the details.
• After preliminary verification, District Welfare Officer gave the final approval for monthly pension to transgenders.
• Selected List of Pension Beneficiary will be available in Tehsil Office or District Welfare Officer Office.
• Beneficiary will be informed through SMS or Email.
• Monthly Pension will then credited directly in the bank account of Transgender Beneficiary.
