Introduction

• Himachal Pradesh runs lots of pension scheme in the state which benefits needy faction of the society.
• There are some sections of women in the society which do not have any financial stability and they have to depend on others to fulfil their daily basic needs.
• The Section of Women which we are talking about is Widow Women, Destitute/ Deserted/ Abandon Women and Single/ Unmarried Women.
• Himachal Pradesh Government provide monthly pension to all women beneficiary mentioned above in its state run pension scheme.
• The name of pension scheme is "Himachal Pradesh Widow, Destitute and Single Women Pension Scheme".
• The main objective of Himachal Pradesh Government behind starting this scheme is to provide financial security to all those women who do not have any fixed source of income.
• Himachal Pradesh Government's Social Welfare and Empowerment Department is the nodal department of this scheme.
• This Pension Scheme is basically a combination of 3 different sub scheme which are :-
  • Himachal Pradesh Widow Pension Scheme.
  • Himachal Pradesh Destitute Women Pension Scheme.
  • Himachal Pradesh Single Women Pension Scheme.
• Monthly Pension will be provided to all eligible women beneficiary under Himachal Pradesh Widow, Destitute and Single Women Pension Scheme.
• Every Women Beneficiary will get Rs. 1,500/- per month pension under this scheme.
• Only Widow Women, Deserted/ Abandoned/ Destitute Women and Single/ Unmarried Women are eligible to get monthly pension in this scheme.
• The Age Criteria for Widow and Destitute Women is 18 Years or More.
• Whereas, Unmarried/ Single Women Age should be 45 Years or more to avail the benefit of monthly pension.
• Single Women and Destitute Women whose Annual Family Income is more than Rs. 35,000/- per year are not eligible for pension.
• For Widow Women Beneficiary, there is no minimum or maximum income limit is applicable.
• Eligible Women Beneficiary can apply for Monthly Pension by filling Online Application Form of Himachal Pradesh Widow, Destitute and Single Women Pension Scheme.

Benefits

• Himachal Pradesh Government will provide the following financial assistance as a monthly pension to all eligible Widow Women, Destitute Women and Single Women of Himachal Pradesh under its pension scheme :-
  • Monthly Pension of Rs. 1,500/- to all Eligible Women Beneficiaries.

Eligibility

• Women Beneficiary should be a Permanent Resident of Himachal Pradesh.
• Following Category Women are eligible to apply for monthly pension :-
  • Widow Women.
  • Deserted/ Abandoned/ Destitute Women.
  • Single/ Unmarried Women.
• The Annual Income of Destitute and Single Women Beneficiary should not be more than Rs. 35,000/- per Year.
• There is no Income Limit for Widow Women Beneficiary.
• The Age of Women Beneficiary should be :-

  Beneficiary	Age Limit
  Widow	18 Years or More
  Destitute/ Deserted
  Single/ Unmarried	45 Years or More

Documents Required

• The below mentioned documents is needed to be attached with the application form at the time of applying for monthly pension under Himachal Pradesh Widow, Destitute and Single Women Pension Scheme:-
  • Residence Proof/ Domicile of Himachal Pradesh.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Death Certificate of Husband. (For Widow)
  • Deserted Certificate. (For Destitute Women)
  • Unmarried Certificate. (For Single Women)
  • Age Proof.
  • Passport Size Photo.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Email ID.
  • Bank Account Details.

How to Apply

• Eligible Widow, Destitute and Single Women Beneficiary can apply for Monthly Pension under Himachal Pradesh Widow, Destitute and Single Women Pension Scheme through Offline Application Form.
• Application Form of Himachal Pradesh Widow, Destitute and Single Women Pension Scheme is available at any of the following offices :-
  • District Welfare Officer Office.
  • District Tehsil Office.
• Take the Widow, Destitute and Single Women Pension Scheme Application Form and fill it correctly.
• Attach all the needed documents with the application form.
• Submit the Himachal Pradesh Widow, Deserted and Single Women Pension Scheme Application Form along with all the Documents in the same office from where the application form was collected.
• Officials Concerned will then scrutinized the application form and documents.
• After verification, District Welfare Officer of the concerned district gave the final approval for per month pension to eligible beneficiaries.
• List of Women Beneficiaries Selected for Widow, Destitute and Single Women Pension will be available in District Welfare Officer Office or in Tehsil Office.
• Women Beneficiary will also be informed through SMS on Mobile phone or Email.
• Per Month Pension of Rs. 1,500/- will then credited directly in the given bank account of Women Beneficiary.
