Introduction

  • Delhi Pension Scheme is the prominent scheme of Delhi Government for the welfare of people of Delhi.
  • The main objective behind launching Delhi Pension Scheme is to provide financial security cover to those people who don't have any stable source of income.
  • Delhi Pension Scheme has 3 sub scheme mentioned below according to the category of beneficiaries :-
  • The nodal department for Delhi Old Age Pension Scheme and Delhi Disability Pension Scheme is Department of Social Welfare of Delhi Government.
  • And the nodal department for Delhi Pension Scheme to Women in Distress is Department of Women and Child Welfare of Delhi Government.
  • Government of Delhi will provide monthly financial assistance to all eligible beneficiaries under Delhi Pension Scheme according to their category.
  • Monthly Pension of Rs. 2,500/- per Month will be provided to below mentioned beneficiaries under 3 Sub Schemes of Delhi Pension Scheme :-

  • The annual family income of beneficiaries should be less than Rs. 1,00,000/- per year.
  • Government of Delhi provides facility of both Online and Offline Application Procedures to beneficiaries to the benefit of monthly pension under Delhi Pension Scheme.
  • Eligible Beneficiary can apply for monthly pension by filling Online Application Form of Delhi Pension Scheme which are available at New Delhi Municipal Council Portal and E District Portal of Government of Delhi.

Eligibility

Delhi Old Age Pension Scheme
  • Applicant should be Resident of Delhi for not less than 5 Years.
  • Age of Applicant should be 60 Years or More.
  • Annual Income of Applicant should not be more than Rs. 1 Lakh per Year.
Delhi Disability Pension Scheme
  • Disabled Person should be Resident of Delhi for 5 Years.
  • Applicant should have Disability of 40% or More.
  • Age of Applicant should be less than 60 Years.
  • Annual Family Income of Applicant should be less than Rs. 1 Lakh per Year.
Delhi Pension Scheme to Women
in Distress
  • Applicant Women should be Resident of Delhi for 5 Years.
  • Women should be belong to any one of the below mentioned category :-
    • Widow.
    • Separated.
    • Destitute.
    • Divorced.
    • Abandoned.
  • Age of Applicant should be above 18 Years.
  • Annual Family Income of Women should not be more than Rs. 1 Lakh per Year.

Online Application Process

Offline Application Process

  • Eligible Beneficiaries can also apply for monthly pension under Delhi Pension Scheme through Offline Application Form.
  • For Old Age Beneficiary and Disable Beneficiary, the Offline Application Form is available at any District Social Welfare Department Office of Delhi Government.
  • And for Delhi Pension Scheme to Women in Distress Beneficiaries, the Offline Application Form is available at any District Office of Women and Child Development Department.
  • Collect the Application Form of Delhi Pension Scheme according to the category of beneficiaries.
  • Attach all the required documents with the Application Form.
  • Now Submit the Pension Application Form along with all the Documents in the District Office of below mentioned department :-
    • For Old Age and Disable Beneficiary :- Department of Social Welfare, Delhi Government.
    • For Women Beneficiary :- Department of Women and Child Development, Delhi Government.
  • District Officer of the concerned department will scrutinized the received Application Form of Delhi Pension Scheme.
  • After Verification, the monthly pension of Rs. 2,500/- under Delhi Pension Scheme will be credited in the bank account of all eligible beneficiaries.
