Introduction

• Mukhyamantri Kisan Evam Khetihar Mazdoor Jiwan Suraksha Yojana is the major welfare scheme of Haryana Government for Farmers and Agricultural Labourers.
• It was launched in the year 2013 and implemented on 01-01-2014.
• The main objective behind launching this scheme is to provide financial security cover to farmers and agricultural labourers of Haryana in case of Death and Disability happened while doing agricultural work.
• Haryana Government's State Agricultural Marketing Board is the nodal department of this scheme.
• This scheme is also called "Haryana Chief Minister Farmers and Agricultural Laborers Life Security Scheme".
• Haryana Government will provide financial assistance to farmer or agricultural labourer in case death or disability happened while doing Agricultural Related work.
• Financial Assistance of Rs. 5,00,000/- will be provided to next of kin in case of death of farmer or agricultural laborer.
• And Financial Assistance ranging from Rs. 37,500/- to Rs. 2,50,000/- will be provided to beneficiaries in case of partial or full disability.
• Death and Disability caused while doing Agricultural Work are only considered for financial assistance under Mukhyamantri Kisan Evam Khetihar Mazdoor Jiwan Suraksha Yojana.
• The Age of Farmer and Agricultural Labourer at the time of accident should be between 10 years to 65 years.

• The below mentioned financial assistance will be provided to eligible beneficiaries under Haryana Mukhyamantri Kisan Evam Khetihar Mazdoor Jiwan Suraksha Yojana :-

Eligibility

• Farmer and Agricultural Labourer should be Resident of Haryana.
• The Age of Farmer and Agricultural Labourer should be between 10 Years to 65 Years.
• Death or Disability of Farmer and Agricultural Labourer should be caused while doing Agriculture Related Work.
• Applicant should not be a beneficiary of any other Farmer Security Scheme.

Applicable Circumstances of Death/ Disability

• Financial Assistance under Haryana Mukhyamantri Kisan Evam Khetihar Mazdoor Jiwan Suraksha Yojana will be given only if death/ disability is caused due to any of the following circumstances :-

  When Working on Agricultural Machinery. Digging of Well or Installing the Tube Well. Operating Cane Crusher/ Chaff Cutter/ Kohloo/ Thresher. By Inhaling Poisonous Gas while Digging Well or Installing Tube Well. Due to Electrical Shock. Death due to Poisonous Creature or Snake. While Working on Market Yards. (Landing, Shifting, the Product) While using Insecticide, Pesticide, Weedicide in Fields. Accident occurred while carrying Agricultural Produce.

Document Required

• The following documents is required at the time of applying for Haryana Mukhyamantri Kisan Evam Khetihar Mazdoor Jiwan Suraksha Yojana :-

  Domicile or Residence Proof Haryana. Parivar Pehchan Patra. Passport Size Photo. Bank Account Details. Affidavit from Land Owner. (For Agricultural Labourer) Below Mentioned Documents will be needed in case of Disability :- Disability Certificate. OPD Receipt. Medical Certificate.
