Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mahalakshmi Kit Scheme

Introduction

• Chief Minister Mahalakshmi Kit Scheme is the flagship scheme of Uttarakhand Government for the welfare of Women.
• It was started in the year 2021.
• The main objective behind launching Chief Minister Mahalakshmi Kit Scheme is to improve the health of women and her child and eradicate the malnutrition.
• This scheme is also known by some other names like :- "Mukhyamantri Mahalakshmi Kit Yojana" or Chief Minister Mahalaxmi Kit Scheme".
• Department of Women Empowerment and Child Development is the nodal department of this scheme.
• Mahalakshmi Kit which contains Nutritious Food Items for Mother and Daily Care Items for Girl Child will be provided to all eligible women beneficiary of Uttarakhand.
• Earlier Uttarakhand Government will only provide Mahalakshmi Kit to those mothers who gave birth a girl child.
• But now Government of Uttarakhand amended Mahalakshmi Kit Scheme Guidelines.
• Now those women are also eligible to get Mahalakshmi Kit who gave birth to a boy child.
• Women Beneficiary can avail the benefit of Chief Minister Mahalakshmi Kit Scheme for 2 Child.
• Only those Women Beneficiary are eligible to apply whose family monthly income is not more than Rs. 6,000/-.
• Eligible Women Beneficiaries can apply for Chief Minister Mahalaxmi Kit Scheme through Application Form.
• The Application Form of Chief Minister Mahalakshmi Kit Scheme is available free of cost at Anganwadi Center.

• Mahalakshmi Kit will be Provided to Women Beneficiary who gave Birth to Child.
• Mahalakshmi Kit Contain Nutritious Items for Women and her Child.
• The following items contain in Mahalakshmi Kit which are provided under Chief Minister Mahalakshmi Kit Scheme :-

  Mahalakshmi Kit Items
  For Mother	Mustard Oil - 0.5 Litre. Nail Cutter - 1 Laundary Soap - 4 Bathing Soap - 4 Sanitary Napkin - 2 Packets. Towel - 1 Bedsheet - 2 Socks - 2 Pair. Warm Shawl - 1 Almonds - 250 Grams. Dry Dates - 500 Grams.
  For Child	Cotton Napkin - 12 Piece. Baby Diaper - 10 Piece. Rubeer Shirt - 1 Baby Blanket - 1 Towel - 2 Baby Cream - 1 Baby Powder - 1 Baby Oil - 1 Baby Soap - 3 Warm Cloths - 2 Head Cap and Socks

Eligibility

• Women Beneficiary should be a Resident of Uttarakhand.
• Mahalakshmi Kit will be provided at the time of Child Birth.
• Mahalakshmi Kit will be given for the Birth of 2 Child.
• The Income of Women's Family should not be more than Rs. 6,000/- per Month.

Documents Required

• The below mentioned documents is needed at the time of applying for Uttarakhand Government's Chief Minister Mahalakshmi Kit Scheme :-
  • Residence Proof of Uttarakhand.
  • Age Proof.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Ration Card.
  • Child Birth Certificate.
  • Passport Size Photo.

How to Apply

• Eligible Women Beneficiary can apply for Chief Minister Mahalakshmi Kit Scheme by filling Application Form.
• Application Form of Chief Minister Mahalakshmi Kit Scheme is available at any Anganwadi Center.
• ASHA Worker present at Anganwadi Center will provide the Application Form to Women Beneficiary.
• ASHA Worker will also help the Women Beneficiary to fill the Chief Minister Mahalakshmi Kit Scheme.
• Attach all the required documents with the application form.
• Now Submit the Application Form and Documents in Anganwadi Center.
• Application Form along with all the documents will be forwarded by ASHA Worker to Department of Women Empowerment and Child Development.
• Officials of Department of Women Empowerment and Child Development will scrutinised the Application Form of Mahalakshmi Kit Scheme and Documents.
• Selected Women Beneficiary will get their Mahalakshmi Kit in Anganwadi Center disbursed by the ASHA Worker.
