Odisha Subhadra Yojana

Introduction

• The newly formed government in Odisha announced the 'Subhadra Yojana' during the state assembly election.
• Since its announcement, beneficiaries are eagerly awaiting the implementation of the Subhadra Yojana.
• Once officially implemented, Odisha Subhadra Yojana will be known by some other names also; such as :- "Odisha Subhadra Jojana" or "Odisha Subhadra Scheme".
• Recently, the government has released the SOP for Odisha Subhadra Yojana.
• As per the Subhadra Yojana, every eligible women in Odisha will receive a assistance of Rs 50,000/-.
• This assistance will be provided Rs 10,000/- per year for the next five years to all eligible beneficiaries.
• The annual assistance under the Subhadra Yojana will be credited in two equal installments of Rs 5,000/- each.
• The first installment of Subhadra Yojana will be credited on the occasion of International women's day i.e. on 8 March and the second installment on Raksha Bandhan in August month.
• Earlier, the government has notified that assistance would be provided in the form of a cash voucher; as per the SOP, the amount will be credited directly into beneficiaries bank account.
• Government will also provide Subhadra Credit Card to all beneficiaries.
• Around 100 Beneficiaries who use this card for maximum digital transaction will get an incentive of Rs 500/-
• Women and child development of Odisha is the nodal department of Odisha Subhadra Yojana.
• As per the government, around 1 Crore beneficiaries will be covered under this scheme.
• The benefit of Subhadra Yojana will be provided to all women except those who are financially sound and tax payers.
• Additionally, women receiving monthly pension of Rs 1,500/- or more or yearly pension of Rs 18,000/- or more through any scheme, are also not eligible for Subhadra Yojana.
• Applicants who meet the eligibility conditions for Odisha Subhadra Yojana can submit its applications through the given mode.
• As per the update on 01-07-2024, Odisha Subhadra Yojana is going to launch on the birth date of PM Narendra Modi i.e. on 17 September.
• This means that Odisha Subhadra Yojana will going to launch on 17-09-2024.
• Applicants can apply for the Odisha Subhadra yojana through Anganwadi Centers, Block Offices, Mo Seva Kendra's, and Jana Seva Kendra's.
• Moreover, it is also expected that a dedicated online portal for Subhadra Yojana will be developed.
• Applicants can obtain their Subhadra Yojana application form from these centers free of cost.
• Odisha Subhadra Yojana helpline call center will be set up for queries related to it.

Benefits of Scheme

• Under Odisha Subhadra Yojana (Jojana), the following benefits will be provided to each eligible women beneficiaries :-
  • All eligible women will receive assistance of Rs 50,000/-
  • Such assistance will be provided for the next five years.
  • Each year, applicants will get Rs 10,000/- in two equal installments.
  • Assistance will be credited through DBT.
  • Subhadra Credit Card will be provided.
  • Rs 500/- incentive to 100 beneficiaries who used this card for maximum digital transactions.

Eligibility Criteria

• Benefits of Odisha Subhadra Yojana will be provided to only those Women Beneficiaries who may fulfill the following eligibility criteria :-
  • Applicants should be a permanent residents of Odisha.
  • Only women applicants can apply for this scheme.
  • Women age should be between 21 to 60 years.
  • Government employee, tax payers are not eligible.
  • Women receiving pension Rs 1,500 or more monthly or 18,000/- in year are also not eligible.

How to apply

• Applicants can submit their Subhadra Yojana form through its application form.
• Application form for Odisha Subhadra Yojana can be collected from : -
  • Anganwadi Centre.
  • Mo Seva Kendra's
  • Block Offices
  • Jan Seva Kendra's.
• After collecting the form, applicants must fill their details in it.
• Upload the documents required for the scheme.
• Now, submit this dully filled in application form to the respective centres.
• Authority will verify your details and documents.
• After successfull verification, the applicants will receive the benefits on its promised date.
