Uttarakhand Chief Minister Higher Education Scholarship Scheme

Introduction

• Chief Minister Higher Education Scholarship Scheme is the flagship scheme of Government of Uttarakhand.
• It was announced on 31-05-2023 by Chief Minister Sh. Pushkar Singh Dhami.
• The main objective behind launching Chief Minister Higher Education Meritorious Scholarship Incentive Scheme is to encourage students to pursue higher education by providing them monthly financial assistance.
• Financial Assistance as a Scholarship will be provided to those students who are studying in Government College or University.
• This scheme is also known by some other names such as "Uttarakhand Chief Minister Higher Education Meritorious Scholarship Incentive Scheme" or "Uttarakhand Mukhyamantri Uccha Shiksha Medhavi Chatravritti Protsahan Yojana" or "Uttarakhand Mukhyamantri Uccha Shiksha Protsahan Chatravritti Yojana".
• Only Graduate and Post Graduate Students are eligible for scholarship under Chief Minister Higher Education Scholarship Scheme of Uttarakhand Government.
• Government of Uttarakhand will provide scholarship to only those students who secure First, Second and Third Position Yearly in their respective streams.
• Students of Science, Commerce and Arts are eligible for Scholarship and they will be treated separately for scholarship.
• Under Chief Minister Higher Education Meritorious Scholarship Incentive Scheme, Government of Uttarakhand will provide below mentioned scholarship to eligible students :-

  Year Wise and Stream Wise Topper of Graduation will get :- Rs. 3,000/- per Month to First Position Holder. Rs. 2,000/- per Month to Second Position Holder. Rs. 1,000/- per Month to Third Position Holder. Overall Topper of Graduation in their respective stream will get :- Rs. 35,000/- to First Position Holder. Rs. 25,000/- to Second Position Holder. Rs. 20,000/- to Third Position Holder. Year Wise and Stream Wise Topper of Post Graduation will get :- Rs. 5,000/- per Month to First Position Holder. Rs. 3,000/- per Month to Second Position Holder. Rs. 2,000/- per Month to Third Position Holder. Overall Topper of Post Graduation in their respective stream will get :- Rs. 60,000/- to First Position Holder. Rs. 35,000/- to Second Position Holder. Rs. 25,000/- to Third Position Holder.

• Scholarship will be provided to eligible students from the academic session 2023-2024.
• Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami will going to launch this scheme on 20th of January 2024.
• 241 Students of Graduation Course will be benefited in the first phase.
• Uttarakhand Government also released the Guidelines of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Higher Education Scholarship Scheme.
• Students can apply for Scholarship by filling Online Application Form which is available on Samarth Portal.

Benefits of Scheme

• The below mentioned scholarship will be provided to Eligible Students under Uttarakhand Chief Minister Higher Education Scholarship Scheme :-

  Graduation	Year wise and Stream wise Topper will get :- Rs. 3,000/- per Month to First Position Holder. Rs. 2,000/- per Month to Second Position Holder. Rs. 1,000/- per Month to Third Position Holder. Overall Topper of Graduation in Every Stream will get :- Rs. 35,000/- to First Position Holder. Rs. 25,000/- to Second Position Holder. Rs. 20,000/- to Third Position Holder.
  Post Graduation	Year wise and Stream wise Topper will get :- Rs. 5,000/- per Month to First Position Holder. Rs. 3,000/- per Month to Second Position Holder. Rs. 2,000/- per Month to Third Position Holder. Overall Topper of Post Graduation in Every Stream will get :- Rs. 60,000/- to First Position Holder. Rs. 35,000/- to Second Position Holder. Rs. 25,000/- to Third Position Holder.

Eligibility Criteria

• Student should be a Permanent Resident of Uttarakhand.
• Student should be studying in Government College or Government University.
• Applicant should be a Students of any of the below mentioned course :-
  • Graduation.
  • Post Graduation.
• Student should have 80% marks in their 12th Examination. (For Graduation 1st Year)
• Student should secure not less 60% marks in previous examination. (For Graduation 2nd, 3rd and 4th Year)
• Scholarship will only be provided to those Students who secure First, Second and Third Position year wise and course wise.

  • Aadhar Card.
  • Income Certificate.
  • Caste Certificate.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Education Related Documents.
  • Bank Account Details.

How to Apply

• Eligible meritorious students can apply for scholarship under Chief Minister Higher Education Scholarship Scheme through Online Application Form.
• Online Application Form of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Higher Education Scholarship Scheme is available on Samarth Portal of Uttarakhand Government.
• Student has to Register themselves first.
• Registration Number and Password will be sent on the Mobile Number of Student.
• Login in the portal with the help of received Registration Number and Password.
• Choose Chief Minister Higher Education Scholarship Scheme from the scheme list.
• Fill all the details in the Online Application Form of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Higher Education Scholarship Scheme.
• Upload all the required documents.
• Click on Submit Button to Submit the Application Form.
• Submitted Application Form of Uttarakhand CM Higher Education Scholarship Scheme will be verified by the concerned College/ University.
• Students selected after verification will get the monthly scholarship as promised by the Uttarakhand Government under Chief Minister Higher Education Scholarship Scheme.
