Rajasthan Social Security Pension Scheme

Introduction

• Many people in Rajasthan faced financial problem because they don't have their own source of income.
• They faced various difficulties due to unstable income source.
• Keeping these things in mind, Government of Rajasthan started Social Security Pension Scheme.
• The main objective behind launching Social Security Pension Scheme is to provided financial security to needy people of Rajasthan.
• Under Rajasthan Social Security Pension Scheme there are 4 Sub Schemes according to the people category :-
  • Rajasthan Chief Minister Old Age Pension Scheme.
  • Mukhyamantri Ekalnari Samman Pension Yojana.
  • Rajasthan Old Age Farmer Pension Scheme.
  • Rajasthan Mukhyamantri Vishesh Yogyajan Samman Pension Yojana.
• More than 93 Lakh people registered for monthly pension under these 5 Sub Schemes.
• Earlier Government of Rajasthan provided minimum monthly pension of Rs. 500/- to Rs. 750/- per month.
• But in the year 2023, Rajasthan Government increased this monthly pension amount to 15 percent.
• Now, the minimum monthly pension under Social Security Pension Scheme of Rajasthan Government is Rs. 1,000/- per month.
• Every Registered Pensioner will get the benefit of increased monthly pension from 1st of June 2023.
• Now the minimum pension of Rs. 1,000/- per month will be provided to every eligible beneficiary whose age is up to 75 years.
• Only previously registered pensioners will get the benefit of increased pension amount.
• Beneficiary will have to register themselves for increased pension amount by visiting their area's nearest Mehngai Rahat Camp.
• Jan-Aadhar Card is mandatory at the time for Social Security Pension Scheme Registration.

Benefits

• The following benefit will be provided to eligible beneficiaries under Rajasthan Social Security Pension Scheme :-
  • Pension Amount Increased from Rs. 500/- and Rs. 750/- per month to Rs. 1,000/- per Month.
  • Every Eligible Beneficiary up to the Age of 75 Years will get Monthly Pension of Rs. 1,000/- per Month.

• Only those people are eligible for increased monthly pension amount of Rs. 1,000/- per month who are already registered under below mentioned sub schemes :-
  • Rajasthan Chief Minister Old Age Pension Scheme.
  • Mukhyamantri Ekalnari Samman Pension Yojana.
  • Rajasthan Old Age Farmer Pension Scheme.
  • Rajasthan Mukhyamantri Vishesh Yogyajan Samman Pension Yojana.

• The below mentioned documents is required at the time of registration for Rajasthan Social Security Pension Scheme at Mehngai Rahat Camp :-

How to Apply

• Eligible Pension Beneficiary can visit their nearest Mehngai Rahat Camp to get themselves registered for Rajasthan Social Security Pension Scheme.
• Only earlier registered pension beneficiary are eligible for registration for increased pension amount.
• Registration of Pension Beneficiary will be done by the officials present at Mehngai Rahat Camp.
• Pension Beneficiary can go and register themselves under Rajasthan Government's Social Security Pension Scheme on or before 30-06-2023.
• Mukhyamantri Guarantee Card will be provided to beneficiaries after registration.
• With effect from 1st of June 2023, the increased of amount of pension i.e. Rs. 1,000/- per month will be transferred directly in the bank account of pensioner.
