Introduction

• In recent times, the Jharkhand Government has implemented many beneficial schemes for the people of its state.
• Among these, schemes related to education, employment, self-employment, pension, and medical care are important.
• During the budget for the financial year 2024-25, Champai Soren's government has introduced a new scheme for the girl child of the state.
• The state finance minister decided to implement a new scheme called Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme.
• The main objective of the scheme is to strengthen the declining enrollment rate of girls in technical education.
• For this, they have announced this scheme, under which fixed assistance will be provided to the girl child.
• According to the scheme, if any girl is enrolled at the diploma level in any technical course, she will receive a yearly assistance of Rs 15,000/-
• Those who are enrolled in a degree programme will get an assistance of Rs. 30,000/- per year.
• This assistance will be credited directly into the bank account of the beneficiaries through DBT mode.
• Only applicants who meet the Manki Munda Scholarship eligibility criteria, may apply for the scheme.
• However, the mode of application is not available because the government has yet to release the Manki Munda Scholarship scheme guidelines.

Benefits of Scheme

• Under the Jharkhand Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme, applicants will get the following benefits: -
  • Financial assistance of Rs. 15,000/- will be provided to girl child enrolled for the diploma programme in technical institution.
  • Financial assistance of Rs. 30,000/- will be provided to the girl child who enrolled for the degree level course in technical institution.

Eligibility Criteria

• To get the benefits of the Jharkhand Manki Munda Scholarship, the applicants must satisfy the criteria suggested as per the scheme. These include: -
  • Only State domiciled applicants can apply.
  • Applicants must be enrolled from any state technical education institute in Diploma or Degree Level.
  • Only female applicants of the state will receive the benefits of the scheme.

How to apply

• The Jharkhand Manki Munda scholarship Scheme is one of the latest offerings for the children of the state.
• During the announcement of the 2024-25 budget, the State Finance Minister Shri Rameshwar Oraon gave his nod to implement the scheme from 2024 onwards.
• As the scheme was announced during the budget, detailed guidelines of the scheme are yet to be announced.
• Once the scheme guidelines are released, eligible beneficiaries will know the nature of the scheme and its application procedure.
• Only eligible applicants can apply for the Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme.
• While applying for the scheme, it is necessary for applicants to provide their valid details and documents.
• Because after receiving the application, the concerned department will perform the scrutiny test.
• Application with incomplete or incorrect details, or those that do not fulfilling the issued guidelines, will be summarily rejected.
• On the contrary, applications that pass the scrutiny test will receive the benefits of the scheme.
