Uttarakhand Mukhyamantri Khiladi Protsahan Yojana

Introduction

• Mukhyamantri Khiladi Protsahan Yojana is the major welfare scheme for sports players run by Uttarakhand Government.
• It was launched in the year 2022.
• The main objective behind launching this scheme is to create a spirit of competition between sports players, to increase the interest of youth in sports and to encourage them to do well in sports.
• Department of Sports of Uttarakhand Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• This scheme is also knows by some other names like "Uttarakhand Chief Minister Sports Players Scholarship Scheme" or "Uttarakhand Mukhyamantri Khiladi Unnayan Protsahan Yojana" or "Uttarakhand Mukhyamantri Khiladi Protsahan Chatravritti Yojana".
• Now Government of Uttarakhand is providing monthly scholarship and one time grant to purchase sports equipment under Mukhyamantri Khiladi Protsahan Yojana.
• Rs. 2,000/- per month will be provided to sports players selected under this scheme.
• Apart form monthly scholarship, a one time grant of Rs. 10,000/- will also provided to sports players to purchase sports kit and other sports related equipment.
• Only sports players or age between 14 Years to 23 Years are eligible to get benefit of Uttarakhand Government's Mukhyamantri Khiladi Protsahan Yojana.
• Every Year 1300 Boy Sports Players (100 from Each District) and 1300 Girl Sports Players (100 from Each District) i.e. Total 2600 Sports Players will be selected for scholarship and one time grant under Mukhyamantri Khiladi Protsahan Yojana.
• The selection of sports players according to the age of player are as follows :-

  14 to 17	25 Boys and 25 Girls
  17 to 19	25 Boys and 25 Girls
  19 to 21	25 Boys and 25 Girls
  21 to 23	25 Boys and 25 Girls

• Scholarship will only payable for 1 year to selected players.
• Selection of Sports Players for Scholarship and One Time Grant will be done through sports competition.
• District Sports Officer will directly transfer the scholarship amount into the given bank account of player.
• Eligible Players can take part in competition in order to get the scholarship and one time grant.
• Application Form of Mukhyamanri Khiladi Protsahan Yojana will be available free of cost at District Office of Sports Department.

Benefits of Scheme

• Uttarakhand Government provides the following benefits to selected players under Uttarakhand Mukhyamantri Khiladi Protsahan Yojana :-
  • Monthly Scholarship of Rs. 2,000/-.
  • One Time Grant of Rs. 10,000/- for the Purchase of Sports Equipment.

Eligibility

• Government of Uttarakhand sets the following eligibility conditions for sports players in order to avail the benefit of Mukhyamantri Khiladi Prosahan Yojana :-

  Sports Player should be a Permanent Resident of Uttarakhand. The Age of Sports Player should be between 14 Years to 23 Years. Sports Player plays any of the below mentioned Sports :- Athletics. Badminton. Boxing. Taikwondo. Kabaddi. Football. Volleyball. Basketball. Hockey. Table Tennis. Karate. Judo.

List of Physical Efficiency and Game Test for Selection

• Sports Player will be selected for scholarship and one time grant under Mukhyamantri Khiladi Protsahan Yojana through below mentioned competition of physical efficiency and Game Test :-
  • 600 Meter of Running.
  • Medicine Ball Put.
  • 6×10 Shuttle Run.
  • Forward Bend & Reach.
  • Standing Broad Jump.
  • 30 Meter Flying Run.

Sports Eligible for Scholarship and Grant

• The below mentioned sports are eligible for monthly scholarship and one time grant under Mukhyamantri Khiladi Protsahan Yojana :-
  • Judo.
  • Karate.
  • Table Tennis.
  • Hockey.
  • Basketball.
  • Volleyball.
  • Football.
  • Kabaddi.
  • Taikwondo.
  • Boxing.
  • Badminton.
  • Athletics.

• The following documents will be needed at the time of applying for scholarship under Uttarakhand Mukhyamantri Khiladi Protsahan Yojana :-
  • Domicile of Uttarakhand.
  • Birth Certificate of Player.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Medical Certificate.

How to Apply

• Sports player will have to participate in selection process in order to get the scholarship and one time grant under Mukhyamantri Khiladi Protsahan Yojana.
• Participation in selection process of Mukhyamantri Khiladi Protsahan Yojana will be take place through Application Form.
• The Application Form of Uttarakhand Mukhyamantri Khiladi Protsahan Yojana will be available at District Office of Sports Department of Uttarakhand Government.
• Player has to fill the Application Form carefully.
• Attach all the required documents with the Application Form.
• Now submit the Mukhyamantri Khiladi Protsahan Yojana Application Form along with all the documents in the same office from where it was collected.
• District Sports Officers will scrutinised the Application Form and documents.
• Selected Players will be called for Physical Efficiency and Game Test.
• Players will be Selected for Scholarship and One Time Grant through 2 Stage Process.
• In First Stage, Competition will be conducted in every Block, Nagar Nigam, and Nagar Palika.
• Those Players who qualify the first stage will take part in second stage competition held at District Level.
• Following Physical Efficiency and Game Test will have to be passed by students to get scholarship under Mukhyamantri Khiladi Protsahan Yojana :-
  • 30 Meter Flying Run.
  • Standing Broad Jump.
  • Forward Bench & Reach.
  • 6×10 Shuttle Run.
  • Medicine Ball Put.
  • 600 Meter Run.
• Scholarship and One Time Grant will be provided to those players who scores highest marks in the competition.
• Scholarship under Mukhyamantri Khiladi Protsahan Yojana will be applicable only for 1 year.
